Help support emerging, openly gay hot musicians!
« on: July 09, 2008, 01:06:42 pm »

Jay Brannon, who also appeared in John Cameron Mitchell's film Shortbus two years ago has just released his first album, "Goddamned," digitally via iTunes download.  It's quite lovely actually -- very acoustic and falsetto.  Like a reincarnated Joni Mitchell in boytoy mode, if you will.

He even records music videos sitting naked on his toilet.  You really have to admire that.

Oh, and he's also appearing in the just released (on DVD) indie film Holding Trevor:

I've been listening to the entire album all day over and over.  I'm a sucker for male falsetto, and yes I LIKE THE BEE GEES THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Uh... no. I don't want to see anyone on the toilet, singing or otherwise.

Wow, he seems to have more female fans that male..

Nice little number except I do think he needs to work more on his lyrics..

"I wanna have his babies
I wanna wear his ring
He drives me fucking crazy.."

I mean, not exactly Joni Mitchell, right?

I spent quite a bit of time last nite watching most of his videos.  Call me shallow or whatever, but he's ADORABLE! lol

I found the housewife song quite interesting. It seems it's the 2nd song he ever wrote, and it's easily relatable by many a gay man. Not so much to be a 'housewife' , but to find that perfect relationship and live happily ever after. The video done for it was great, I loved it.

I was also very moved by that 10 second ( or so) video he titled 'Do I have to" ( or something like that ).

I'm planning to rent Shortbus sometime soon, and I subscribed to his youtube account. After watching it all , I can't help but wish him success, but most of all, happiness.

Thanks Philly~

Shortbus is fabulous, and very naughty.  It has real, x-rated sex performed by all the actors.  During the opening credits, a beautiful young man felates himself, then cums on his own face.

Now THAT is safe sex!
