Isentress Co-Pay Assistance?
« on: February 01, 2016, 02:42:31 pm »
Hello, I've been on Isentress and Truvada for over three years now.

I use the Gilead co-pay assistance for Truvada and Isentress co-pay assistance for Isentress.

My co-pay for these meds has increased from $125 per prescription in year 2014, to $250 per prescription in 2015, to $300 per prescription in 2016 - this is for 3 month mail orders.

Ie total has changed from $1,000 per year in 2014 to $2,400 this year.

My mail order pharmacy doesn't accept the coupon upon ordering, so I have to pay for them first and then I request a reimbursement after.

What makes me worried is the expiration dates/renewals for the Isentress coupon. My old coupon expired in November last year and made me miss a $250 reimbursement, because I only realized it had expired after sending in the form for reimbursement. I now looked for a new coupon and got one, but it has an expiry date of June 2016 which seems really soon...

Does anyone know if they will release new copay assistance cards by then?

Any advice would be super helpful.

Thanks!

Hi, I don't know what area of the country you live in but were I you, I would contact the nearest ASO (aids service organization) and talk to a case manager.  I used to be a case manager at the ASO here and we used to do the paperwork for people getting co-pay assistance to ensure they kept their assistance and there was no time they were not covered.  That is my advice. June will be here before we know it, so I would contact the ASO as soon as you can.
