Hello everyone I
am posting here because I do not know
my HIV status. I have been haveing some diarrah not alot but more then
normal. Also have mucas in the stool.I have never been tested pretty dumb on
my part. I
have been with
my
girlfreind for 3 years she
was tested before we met she was clean. We have a little girl one and a half years old and
have a second one on the way I thought they tested her before we had my daughter
but I don't think they did I am going to make my  self I don't want to give it to my baby
I am so scared I always have been but I know now that not knowing is much worse. I think what
u guys do is so great . I was wondering are the spmtoms I talked about HIV related.  I know testing is the only way to know. There is a place that does 30 min testing no blood is that relibale. Thank you for your time god bless you all. Sdguy619

For a start, using the word "clean" to describe someone's hiv status is highly insulting to those of us who are hiv positive. I'm poz, and I'm clean, thank you very much. A person is hiv positive or hiv negative, not clean or dirty.

If your girlfriend is the only woman you've had unprotected intercourse with, then how would you be hiv positive? If you've had unprotected intercourse with anyone else, then yes, you should test. As for infecting your baby, the only way that's going to happen is if you're having unprotected intercourse with the baby. That's how hiv is spread. It's not spread by being in the same room with someone positive and it's not spread by having close contact with someone who is positive. Sounds like you need to read our Transmission Lesson found in our Welcome Thread  that you should have read before posting.

I haven't a clue why on earth you would think having diarrhea means you have hiv. There are thousands of things that can cause diarrhea. Go see your doctor and get it checked out. From what you've told us, it's highly unlikely to have anything to do with hiv.

Hello Ann and everyone who reads my post I am so sorry for putting it the way I did by
saying that my girlfriend was clean. I meant no disrespect . I understand what ur saying.
I have had unprotected sex before me and my girlfriend got together. I have been so scared to get
tested. That's why I was worried about my baby because I know the mom can give it to the baby.
I am going to get tested because i know geting tested is smart and the only way to know and
after doing research I know it is a cronic illniss. And not a death sentance anymore.  Hey Ann is the 30 min HIV test where there is no blood drawn reliable? Thanks again . God bless you all for what u do.

OK. So you know you have to get tested. The swab test is an approved test.

Hey Ann I had one more question I am geting tested on Thursday by the way I know it's
the responseible thing to do. So Ann I read on one of the post that u had unprotected sex for over a year with your partner and he tested negitive. So does  it make a difrence if  u cum in the person does that increase the chance of geting exsposed or is it the same please if u could answer. Thank u Ann. Ejaculating in the receptive partner  is not a greater risk to the person who is ejaculating. The risk is to the receptive partner.

Hey Andy thank you for the quick response what I meant is if the person u slept with was HIV postive and u cum in them does that give u a bigger chance of geting infected  then if u didn't cum in your partner . I will let u know my results when I get them thanks again. How long does the blood test take to come back.

  hello went to planed parrenthood today they did the rapid finger prick test they tell u the results in30 minutes it came back negative. God bless u all for the support u give everyone on this site . Just one more question are those rapid test pretty acturute. Thanks Andy and Ann. Take care.

Yes, the rapid tests are reliable. You are reliably and conclusively hiv negative.

Make sure you use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse if you go outside your current relationship, or if you find yourself in a new relationship in future. Do this and you will remain hiv negative.

We don't delete profiles. I'm afraid you're stuck with us and visa-versa. As Matty said, just stop posting to your thread and it will sink into the archives.
