Tip # 4 works well for the Harley and the Saturn.I go from 38 to 45 and sometimes 50 m.p.g on the Harley. With a 2 gallon tank it helps.

On #5: Turn off the A/C they demonstrated on Mythbusters that in the average sedan it is more fuel efficient to ride with the windows down as long as you don't go over 45 mph. Over 45 mph the wind resistance is worse than the A/C.

I took a trip down the coast yesterday in a hire car. On the dash it had a "fuel economy guage" which was a read out of how many litres of petrol I was using per 100 km (the standard measure out here). I was amazed at how easy it was to keep the fuel useage down by simply driving 'easy' rather than trying to rush in and out of traffic etc.
Be forgiving, be grateful, be optimistic

Mercy! its un-american to drive in the south without AC? at any speed... with 98 plus and 105 heat index... I'll burn alittle gas.... best way to save on your fuel bill is to limit your driving... I live less than a 1/2 mile to the office... plus I hate driving... I'll use a tank of gas (11 gallons) per month... I also enjoy riding my bike but, only when weather permits... have a great day!

If I didn't have AC on in the car, I would definitely save gas. I would probably only be able to drive a couple miles, then I would pass out, thus saving gas !  :)

LOL I'll have to agree with Ray.
Its currently 100 degrees outside with winds at 2 mph. My car is an easy bake oven on wheels.  ;D
