You have probably all seen and read this already..we are a little behind the times here with our news headlines, but this made me laugh out loud and got my day off to a good start so i thought I would share it with those who haven't read it yet.. :D

Armani underwear ad featuring David Beckham has sent the English tabloids into meltdown, some suggesting the football icon may be smuggling more than a budgie.
"Is that John Darwin's canoe in your pants or are you just pleased to see us?" wondered the Sun, in an editorial headlined Swollenballs.
The editorial, written by BBC football presenter Adrian Chiles, questions why Beckham chose to do the ad in the first place.
"You've got money, status, respect and fame - then someone says: 'Armani want you to do a picture wearing tight white pants with your legs as wide open as the hole in England's defence,' " he wrote.
"Why would you say yes? The only reason is that you have no talent other than to be in daft pictures like this.
" ... As for what's stuffed down there, my guess is a rather soft aubergine."
The Sun then hazarded a few other guesses as to the contents of Beckham's Armani togs, suggesting it might be his son Brooklyn's hamster, Scientology brochures from Tom Cruise, or perhaps a pair of festive baubles.
Fellow tabloid the Daily Star also took a few pot shots at David down under, in an article headlined What the heck is in Beck's kecks?
Suggestions included troubled singer Amy Winehouse - beehive included, Osama Bin Laden, the never found Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, the Tardis from Doctor Who or wife Victoria's old breast implants.
The Daily Mail, however, took a rather more serious view of Beckham's foray into the world of underwear marketing, decrying his poster as "gay erotica" and the man himself as "the male equivalent of a Page Three tart".

Yeah. That's just what I was thinking when I laid eyes on those photos: Poor, poor David Beckham.
Funny...I have a pair of Armani underwear, but they don't make me look like that. In fact, they tend to highlight the ways in which I don't look like that.
My pair must be broken or something.

Bitch Bitch Bitch....makes one wonder what they would have complained about if he was wearing ballet tights....besides....have they never heard about air brushing a photo ...to get rid of flaws...like hair on his legs or maybe expanding his crotch to get a better look at the material or styling...
Sex sells folks.....and believe me if you buy those Armani undies....the odds are you wont look anything like him or be any sexier than you are right now.....but just to be fair....if you buy them and want an honest opinion....send me a few pics and I will be brutally honest !!! Armani underwear has gone up 50% at Selfridge's since the pictures went up (http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30400-1296953,00.html?f=rss), even though the particular style that he's wearing won't even be available until next year.

Funny you should mention that. I was in there on Wednesday buying skimpy undercarriage support for my favourite fella (NOT Armani - I fancy him in CK’s latest neon range) and the poor sales assistant was trying to explain to this lady that they absolutely could not do exchanges on opened boxes of men’s underwear .. even if her son (yeah right) just had to have to have Armani.

Oh, there's little doubt that it's more than slightly enhanced. This is Madison Avenue! I once read an article in the some magazine about underwear catalogue/advert shoots and how they were very careful about not showing the corona of the glans penis -- and that in the trade when it show it's called "rings" as in "we can see rings!"
I'm sure they test market everything. Personally I think they went slightly over the edge of the line with this ad but I'm loathe to complain.

Oh wait a minute.... I have just seen the views..20 for the head shot and 64 for the full body shot..that pretty much answers my question... :D

I think Beckham gets hotter the older he gets! The underwear bit was a bit over-the-top. But that's just made the ad all the more successful.
