they are almost anywhere in the world, but they can mostly be found in hospitals. if you have never hospitalized then there is almost no chance you have one of those bacterias. they mostly seen on people with long term hospitalization (like the woman who has prostatic hip surgery) or used several antibiotics for a certain infection. even there are still some new antibiotics could fight with them, maybe not effectively as old ones. so things are not going well for drug resistans because of unnecessary antibiotic use but still no need to panic.

it updated on 2005, but you are still right. but most of the nosocomial infections still the same. there are just new ones, i think.

update: i ve searched for a better link but i couldn't find a new good list of infections in english. sorry for that
