New test results, and Hi to everyone.
« on: September 02, 2011, 09:38:41 pm »
I just got my new lab tests after almost 10 months.
My DR, told me I was doing fine, and just to trust him, that doing tests make me anxious and would cost a lot for something that to him was evident.
Well he was right, VL Undetectable, less than 40, , CD4 543, CD8 887, Ratio.61

Well that is almost what he taught it would be,  (UD, and 600 cd) .
I haven't shown him the results until next week.
He did mention that he could change my Kaletra, for another medication, just one pill, instead, of the 2 kaletra in the morning and 2 kaletra in the evening.Keeping my Truvada. ( I think he might be talking about efavirenz ( No Atripla in Mexico), or Reyataz.

I don't know what to do if wants me to switch medications, since my actual combo is doing wonders.
My only complain about my combo, is that the Ritonavir part of the Kaletra potentates some medications , and I have to be very carefully with it. For example, I only need to take 4 mg of Viagra, to be effective, and the effects last for 4 days. And it makes me hangover for 2 days.
I think that is one of the causes of the probably switch, my active sexual life.

I am very fortunate the treatment is working,  since my knowledge of been having AIDS almost  a year and a half ago , of almost dying, I have been able to travel to Argentina twice, just came back from a Europe vacation. I am exercising too, and have more strength than I ever imagine I could have.
I have muscles,  and I am very well motivated.

I only think of having VIH, when I take my medicine and forget about it.
I only visit this site to find out about new treatment news.

I would like to know opinions about switching medicines, since my actual combo is doing fine.( All my other lab tests came out normal, perfect, liver and kidney functions cholesterol and triglycerides, on the upper limit, I don't worry much about it since I eat bacom, pork, cracklings, butter, and sausage. I guess I should limit this part.
Well Hi to everyone, and hope to hear some opinions.
Thanks, Roy.

Went to the Dr.
He said I was doing great, that He would not switch my present regimen because it had been to little time since I had become UD.
He said I needed to wait 4 more months, and the switch would be to Efavirentz.(Plus Truvada= Atripla).
That I could come back to Kaletra any time.
