Feeling Blessed!
« on: May 23, 2019, 11:12:41 pm »
I feel very blessed... It has been 5 years and some months since that day when I was told I am hiv+... Many days have gone by, many things have happened and I feel blessed because we are still on this earth, hiv+ and healthy thanks a wonderful set of doctors and medication. I am bringing this today, because I just happen to visit with a friend, younger than I am, who had a massive stroke and is now wheelchair bound, can't speak well and has to be fed. Most of us have not had to endure this. Most of us are relatively healthy and most of us are "Not dying from HIV, but living with HIV". For that I am grateful. For that I feel blessed... :) :)
Today January 20, 2020, I have taken 2378 pills of my ARV since first pill. This means 79 bottles of 30 pills of ARVs at an average of $3950 per bottle or $313,103 USD for my treatment. I have a compliance of 99.83% taking my meds and only .17% (or 4 pills) non-compliant. Of these four pills two I forgot completely, One I lost and one I didn't have with me while traveling! I became UD 3 months after treatment start   ***We are all dealing with this. And we will live long and productive lives!! AND, yes the Lord is my shepherd. Life is good... And thanks for the meds! ***
