Title: Vagina fluid into Mosquito Bites Scratches
Post by: jappie on March 06, 2007, 01:50:27 am
On late Nov last year, i went to a massage center here in Malaysia. The message lady was actually low end sex worker from china. Anyway, I had mosquito bites around 4-5 days earlier on my leg and as it was itchy so I scratched it and produced around 15 open skin wounds. ( the average size is around 2mm x 2mm, some are bigger while some are smaller).
She was fully naked while messaging me and offered me sexual service, as the message action went on, she sat between my leg on the I could feel wetness from her vagina which I believe was her vagina fluid and it touched my scratch wounds (my wounds could felt a bit sour ). The exposure was around 10-15 seconds and suddenly I released the danger & wiped the wound area with toilet paper almost immediately (around 10second later). I ended the message session & around 2 minute later after dressed up I went to the toilet to clean the wound area with soap and 30 minutes later with antiseptic I bought from pharmacy on the way back. The massage room was air-con with the temperature around 23C (73.4F). I could not ask her status as she could not understand English & I can’t speak mandarin.

2 weeks later, I had sore throat, chest pain with body temperature of 37 - 37.5C (98.6 - 99.5F), max was usually in evening. I was given antibiotics and the soar throat was ok within 4 days. However 1 week later the soar throat was back and it went on-off for another 3 weeks with max body temperature as above. Anyway, I did not have swollen lymph nodes, rash, night sweat, join pain but I did have 2 pimples on my groin area. (3 weeks later, it never happened before). I also felt I had dry mouth and loss weight around 6.6 pounds. Since then, I do not have any symptoms until today.

I had full STD blood test & HIV test at 13 days but all came back negative.

My questions are as below?
1)   What is the risk of my exposure considering that the prostitute was low end and have a long erected nipple (around 15mm). I understand that is is not easy for transmission but i had around 15 wounds.
2)   Will the hiv virus died due to environment factor before infecting me.
3)   Is my response to clean with soap fast enough to kill the virus.
4) I planned to take a conclusive blood test this week, but I just been injected with hepatitis B vaccination a few days ago, will the vaccination make a false positive on the Elisa

1: No risk
2: There wasn't any risk as there wasn't any unprotected penetrative sex.
3: There was no "virus" to kill but washing with soap will help keep those bites clean
4: You didn't need a test but your Hepatitis B immunization won't affect your ELISA results which will be negative.

Stop by the lessons sites as part of your visit here.

No, hon.  You should be fine.  I wouldn't worry about HIV from that incident.  Like mentioned above, have a read through the Lessons section here on this site and get yourself more in the know about HIV transmission.

Cheers.

PS-   I beat Andy!

Japp, we don't need to look at pictures.

Even if the woman you were with is HIV+, and that's a very big IF, nothing that went on between you two put you at risk for HIV transmission. HIV is a fragile virus which requires a specific kind of receptive environment to remain viable. Her pressing her vagina against you and possibly getting her wetness against you is absolutely NOT such an environment.

The secretions which could contain HIV virus IF she was HIV+ are in the cervical area further up in the vagina, well away from the part pressing against you. In any case there has never been a case of transmission in this manner and you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

As has been suggested to you, read the lesson on Transmission and get to know what the real risks are. You are worrying needlessly. And there's certainly no need for testing.

Cheers,
