Title: How late does ars occur

Hello, I had a vaginal unprotected intercourse I knownI should test at 6 weeks then at 3 months and I know you don’t discuss symptoms and most of people wont get ars

My question is: can ars symptoms show at 6 weeks to 7

Please please answer me and help me as I couldn’t find any answer to my question over the internet.

If you are feeling unwell see your doctor and treat whatever is making you feel unwell instead of stressing about it and I hope you feel better soon.

Regarding the HIV risk, although generally speaking being the insertive partner is less risky than being the receiving partner as an example it's still a real-world HIV risk and meets all the conditions needed for acquiring HIV.

As it was a risk test at 6 weeks post-incident with a blood-drawn HIV antibodies test and a negative result at that time will rarely ever change. If you wish for peace of mind you can confirm the result at 3 months post-encounter.

In the meantime, stop worrying and live your life as normal

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions. Consider starting PrEP going forward as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as safe in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other easier to transmit STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Can you tell me from your experience if ars happen to be late and does the padian study prove that female to male transmissions is nearly impossible

Hiya,

Most common is no symptoms whatsoever or none noticeable in the initial years, it's also not relevant or needed for testing. I've already answered that unprotected intercourse is a risk even for the insertive partner, it's one of the main transmission routes globally.

Stop trying to get out of this or playing it down with obscure studies, the reality is you had a real risk so start using condoms and test as per guidelines.
