Meet My New Pound Puppy

I found this little guy at the Montreal SPCS.

His name is Gizmo and we are unsure of his pedigree.  He's one tough little dog.

He is very cute. I want an English Labrador. My daughter has wanted a Siberian Husky. Except we started reading up on pure breeds and animals in shelters. So we still have some decisions to make.
It is good to help an animal in the shelter.  Then again what happens to the pure breeds?
Either way we get our dog next summer or fall. My husband and I think we might take our daughter to the pound and let her look around. Maybe she might find the right dog.

A BIG Congrats!

Rescued from the pound. Into a much better life no doubt.
I think everybody should run out asap and adopt a little (or big) doggie and or kitty.
I just adopted two 9 year olds last Winter from a rescue pound.
I figured we're both no longer spring chickens age wise.
And I could not imagine anyone giving up their life friend at that age.
They deserve a good life for the remainder of their senior years.
Me too, thanks to my furry friends.

The day there is not at least one dog in my life, you'll know Im dead.  ;)

Thanks everyone.  Most of my pets have come from shelters.  Based on my experience, they never forget that you took them home with you, and you never regret taking them home.

bijou was stung by her first bee on the trail this morning, it was traumatic, so unjust
