So how does Miss P taking a multi-vitamin have anything to do with her comment on folks looking for a holy grail supplement for HIV??  Many people take vitamins -- even, gasp, millions without HIV.  I've been taking one for years longer than I've been positive.  I take for reasons on general health -- not for bolstering my immune system.  I think you are either misreading Miss P's intent, or more likely, lashing out in a most illogical manner.

Look inwards dear Tommy -- there appears to be much you should be dealing with yourself.

The fact you change your picture on a weekly basis tells me all i need to know about you.

What does it tell you?  I know it tells me that the OP knows how to post an image... hardly anything to be impressed about Tommyboi.  The real secret lies in this bottle (don't tell anyone I told you).

Comments from the jaded are not helpful, if you do not believe in this thread why be trolls?

Gays face enough hatred in the  world, can't we be nice to our own kind and others in our situation?

As the recipient of your "kindness," I must defer to the crinkly, prickly arms of the jaded. You have been offered great advice in this thread, by the very people I suspect you have blocked.

Joining an online community is more than simply putting your head in it. You have to participate in discussions. Discussions that might not always go the way YOU want.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

So stop trying to be smart your not ,your a sad person.

You're the sad person, tommy.  Miss P. has knowledge from  years of experience.  Back in about 1990, or thereabouts, (and I've said this before), I had a whole shoebox full of supplements.  All recommended by "naturopathic" persons.  You know what they did for me?  Squat.

Now I take a daily multi, and a calcium supplement with vit. D.  I know there are a few others, like fish oil, that may be helpful.   Why spend tons of money on stuff you don't know works, and that you mostly pee out?

There is no magic answer, tommy.  You posted this topic, you open yourself up for different opinions.  That's just how it goes.

Well well well . Why dont you tell us all and your gang members

Is that yet another Aidsmeds cabal accusation I smell?  You'll find that while we all agree on this one point we have vastly differing opinions on many others.  I promise you there aren't any PMs going on about how we should all gang up on you, or Hoover, or Boze, or any other member of these forums who says things that are on the verge of ludicrous.  I'll apologize if I feel I've gone too far, but honestly some light humor shouldn't be a kick in the pants.  Also I'm pretty sure if you go back to specific threads you can see all of us get entangled with one another in discussion or even down and dirty arguments.  It happens just like with any group of people.  There are a couple of things we tend to all or mostly agree on however.

1) Supplements outside of a multivitamin or SPECIFIC supplements prescribed or suggested by your doctor are mostly useless.

2) Denialists are dangerous and shouldn't be posting in our forums

3) HAART is the only certain way to halt the advancement of HIV

Oh and I'm pretty sure that we all agree on Miss P being best described in a single word as "Cavernous"...ok maybe it's tossup between "Cavernous" and "Gaping"

You know what? I'm absolutely fed up with babysitting this thread.

There are no supplements that have been proven to have any effect on hiv progression (beyond so-called studies conducted by the people who want to sell you supplements).

Many people take multivitamins and other supplements. That isn't to say they have any effect on hiv.

Tommy, you have expressed a dislike to how this thread has progressed. With that in mind, I'm locking it.

If you had bothered yourself to use the forum search function, you would have found many threads on this same subject. Please avail yourself of one of these in future.
