Is it high risk? Do i really infected???
« on: May 21, 2017, 12:01:01 pm »
Hi please help me asses my risk here I'm so freaking scared right now.

On 2/4/17 i have sexual intercourse with this unknown status girl. Had unprotected oral receiving and giving and had protected vaginal sex for the entire intercourse and with water based lubrication ( since her vagina are dry and i feel a lot of friction and lube is needed) and the question is, i had this scratch wound on my penis shaft near the pubic hair and not to mention unprotected oral is this mean i being highly exposed?  This make me so scare plus with my symptoms, make me crazy. Already test with rapid test on 5 week after exposure and it -ve. But still occur symptoms that i could not explain since i nvr had before. :(

Receiving unprotected oral sex is not a risk for HIV infection, but could be a risk for other STD's/STI's.

Protected vaginal sex is not a risk for HIV infection, regardless of a scratch in your pubic region.

Symptoms (whatever they may be) are not a reliable indicator of potential HIV infection because symptoms, if they occur at all, vary widely.  Therefore, we don't assess them on these forums.  You should not assess them, either.  If they bother you, seek guidance from you healthcare provider.

You were not at risk for HIV infection because of the incident as you describe.

Hi

If you are sick see a doctor and treat it.

Now let me put it like this if you were HIV positive I would even tell you tht the symptom has nothing to do with your HIV.

Nothing you mentioned however over this incident was a risk to you for HIV transmission - so move on with your life and test as your normally would routinely  - at least yearly

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

Hi, i find this article

https://www.poz.com/basics/hiv-basics/hiv-transmission-risks

In the article told For men, HIV must enter through a cut or abrasion on the penis or through the lining of the urethra inside the tip of the penis.

this make me more worried. do you mind explained more  about abrasion and cut on penis. Why its not viable for the infection? And how it can be a passageway for the virus?

Thanks.

Yeah. If you had a cut on the top of your penis and had an already risk such as unprotected sex.

You did not come into contact with anything hiv infectious so move on.
Also that page was updated, stop trolling and looking for a risk when you had none

I could not answer your PM because I changed your user settings.
As Patrick and Jim have already explained you had absolutely no risk, body fluids are not infectious once outside and exposed to air.
It is safe to move on.
