Finally have a computer
« on: April 12, 2011, 09:47:24 pm »
It's like going through withdrawal when your computer dies.  My old lap top finally took its last breath.  It was only 10 years old.....lol  Hard to imagine that Gateway cost $2,200 back then.  I've had it upgraded, repaired, powdered and puffed too many times and it was time for a decent burial.

I went all by myself to purchase a new one.  It's a Toshiba C655.  So far, it seems like it's ok.  Guess I'll find out.  Glad to be back.

Welcome back ... I know about internet withdrawal . I broke down and bought a computer for my best buddy because I'm at his house so much and he refused to buy a decent computer .

Only 10 years old?  In the world of technology that's like comparing modern man to a neanderthal.

Mine is the Toshiba Satelite C655D - S5120.  So far the only thing I'm disappointed about is the sound volumn and quality.  I'll definitely need external speakers to listen to porn movies.  It's not much fun doing so in the family room.

Yeah, get some powered speakers, the kind that has a sub woofer 2 speakers -3 piece-setup, make sure it has it's own volume, your not gonna get much out of a notebook sound card, you can go into your sound properties and try to adjust the volume...

On my Toshiba Satelite I turned every thing up in the EQ settings
that worked, but, I'm kinda deaf, and my hearing isn't that great, I listened to LOUD Disco-music most of my life , still do, you would think your in a dance club, if you ever came to my house on a friday night hubby loves it when I spin & mix them disco songs  :D

James, great song, I have it on 12' single "I wanna Be A cowboy" cc 1986 however, them cowboys in the picture aren,'t really cowboys @ all, they look like pretentious ass models to me, real cowboys don't look like that @ least the one's I know don't  ::)

Now THIS is what real cowboys look like here in ABQ, bob & I know a few of them, very nice guys  ;)

I want them to train me in a few things too!  The two of them together, a warm starlit desert night by a campfire, and I would be in cowboy heaven.
