help please
« on: May 02, 2012, 08:59:11 am »
Hello Doctor,

I live in Australia,I had six encounters with female CSW last year. all the time i used condom for both oral (only receive) and vaginal intercourse, no kissing no sucking . Every time i checked my condom after sex its all good.

Two months back i found a wart 1 inches away from base of penis. And i started looking for HIV articles on internet. started feeling i have some of symtoms.

Last month, had burning sensation at penis tip. Went to Doctor and he said could be UTI or Chylamdia or gonorrhea. Urine sample sent to lab. came negative for all he put me on antibotics in one week it cleared.. and i got sore throat, neck pain for one month and feel my lymph nodes are bit swollen. No fever but two bowel movements some morning one normal and another bit loose happens only two times a week. no fever, no headache, no rash. i have a morning dry throat cause im a smoker. my another question can smoking cause tender lymph node. my one lymph node is tender no pain no swollen.

My question is :

1)My risk on all those encounter?

2)How i got gential wart even though i had protected sex?

3)If infected Vaginal fluid touches my wart what is the risk factor?

4)why i feel im getting similar to HIV symtoms. is that cause of Anxiety?

5)im concerned about my symptoms and my Gential wart. how i got that wart.. is it possible get wart when vaginal fluid touches my base of penis.. can Wart virus penetrate into healthy skin?

6)Any test required or not for HIV?
Im going to married and i have a strong guilt on my stupidity. Im not going to have sex outside marriage. please Answer my questions.

Sam

A genital wart is something to discuss with your doctor. It is not an HIV-specific symptom.

And nothing you have reported would have put you at risk for HIV. You used condoms for intercourse and that is exactly what you are supposed to do. They provide very effective protection. The only risks for HIV sexually are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected.

There is no reason for further concern about HIV nor any need for HIV testing.

Thanks very much. I really appreciate. last question please. I m infected with HPV any of my last six encounters. Is there chance to get HIV same way tho protected sex. I know HPV is more contagious can spread through skin to skin contact. i got wart 1 inch away from penis it means the area not covered with condom. Still if i hear from you i feel better.

You're welcome. Just remember about always using condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse and you will be well protected sexually against HIV.
