12 month roundup
« on: October 26, 2012, 05:15:08 pm »
I was sitting here thinking about the last 12 months. I started making some changes to my life last year and slowly things are coming together. I didn't know what to expect 2.5 years ago when I had a CD4 of <8. I certainly didn't think I'd be where I am today:

12 months ago --> Today

VL: UD --> UD (yay, stay down there you little f*$%er)
CD4: 250 --> 330
CD4%: 15% --> 31% (10% jump in last 6 months! woop woop)
Weight: 93kg (205) --> 72kg (159)
Alcohol: Half plastered nightly --> few drinks during the week
Diet: high in processed foods --> fruit/veg/meat
Cholesterol: High triglycerides/low HDL --> normal numbers

My next small change will be to get off my ass a bit more. I hate any form of exercise so this will be a tough one.

Probably the best change however has been in the last week. Swapped from Kaletra/Truvada to Darunavir/Ritonavir/Truvada and I'm actually pooping again. No more torrents of brown liquid when ever I hover my ass near a toilet. Not a single side effect from changing to a new drug which I'm happy about. I put it off for a while since I had a few weeks of nausea when I first went on HAART.
