First off merry Christmas to all and thank you so much for helping me.
Basically I have been worrying so much the past 5 months about HIV. I will be the first to tell you I really don't know that much and have read way to much on the internet. I found this forum and I'm hoping I can put my HIV fear behind me.
Basically my risks were in the past three years
Protected sex everytime with the same person (girl) except once and that was literally for 5 seconds, just a quick "dip".
Unprotected oral giving and received
Fingering of vagina and her anus (only to my fingernail on anus)
I went 24 days after I became single and got a rapid blood HIV test done. It had been 8 weeks since my last protected sex but only 24 days since last unprotected oral.
Test came back negative but I still worried with it not being 3 months so I went again after 3 months and got a or a quick test at a health dept done. It was negative as it only had 1 line the control line.
My concern with it was that the control line was faint red but the nurse said that was OK.
Basically my questions after giving you my background are:
1. Is the nurse right and the faint line is fine on oraquick?
2. Have I had any risk exposures besides the 5 second dip as I'm sure that is one.
3. Do I need to worry about fingering Anus and vagina in the future as a specific risk? Even with hangnails, cuts etc?
4. Does anyone see a need for me to worry at all or get tested again?
5. Lastly I don't want to worry in the future about things such as handshakes, kissing with lip cuts, barber shop nicks, or other environmental things, but do I need to be cautious or can HIV not be spread that way?
Thank you so much and please if you can give me a detailed response and not just a yes or no please. The internet has literally made me worry to death :(.

You are conclusively hiv negative. You do not have hiv.

Yes.

No. Nothing else you're fretting about has been a risk.

No. Fingering isn't a risk regardless of what details you can think of to add.
4. Does anyone see a need for me to worry at all or get tested again?
You do not need further testing at this time. Any sexually active adult should be testing at least once a year, but you're good to go for now.

In adults, hiv is transmitted by:
Unprotected anal intercourse.
Unprotected vaginal intercourse.
Sharing drug injecting equipment.
And that's it.
Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.
To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.
Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.
ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.
If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.
Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!
