The “My Bad Boss Contest” finals start today at 12:00 noon EST (about 30 minutes from now!)

This is the contest that my dear friend entered, and our votes a few weeks ago got her through to the semifinals!

Her story is "A Dying Mother Is No Excuse" by Selfish Employee, and she's just a wonderful lady, and she's had a very tough year. If anyone ever deserved to win a vacation, it's this dear friend.

To coin an Australian phrase, I suspect we are up shitters ditch on this one.

The margin between us (Dead Mothers) and our only real opposition (Millionaire Cat) seems at this stage too great to equalise, let alone exceed. Naturally I'll hold off on final judgement until the close of polls, but I think we've been done by a superior campaign.

As an old political war-horse let me say, it's not a disgrace to fall honourably on the field of battle.
