Herbalife products and Genvoya
« on: January 11, 2018, 01:54:58 am »
Hi, my name is Dan.

I was diagnosed in March 2017 and have been on Genvoya since.

My V/L has been undetectable since May and the CD4 count (Last time I checked) was 750.

I just decided to go on a diet... I have gained some weight... (About 15kg) after I started my medication.

I did some research and decided to do the herbalife protein shake diet. I did this in the past when I graduated from high school and lost about 30kgs lol. I did plenty of research and I am pretty sure they are safe with Genvoya. (Of course I am going to ask my doctor about the product when I am meeting him this month.)

So basically, this diet works by replacing two meals (Usually Breakfast and Dinner) with protein shakes and have one balanced meal. I am Korean so I usually have a Korean dish (Rice with side dishes like kimchi and sometimes with stew/soup.)

The thing is that since Genvoya has to be taken with food, I am not sure if 500ML protein shake (with one scoop of wheatgrass powder) is plenty enough to take with Genvoya. If it is not enough, I am thinking of adding a banana with the shake for dinner. (I take the pill after dinner)

Also I take doxycycline for my folliculitis treatment with Genvoya (My doctor told me it is okay to take it with Genvoya), but since I am worried that a protein shake will not be enough food for 2 strong medications, I am thinking of taking the doxy after lunch and Genvoya after dinner. Any suggestions?

By the way, I really like this diet because I am not a huge fan of cooking... I actually do not like cooking lol And of course I do exercise as well just in case someone might ask me.
