1st Real Case History - Dutch HIV Rapes - Who's responsible?

Let's begin with a rather obvious case of criminal transmission...

Can we assume that for most posters in this forum, we shall agree that the invitees who were thus infected with HIV have little if any responsibility for their serocoversion.  They were drugged, and therefore had no control.  The 3 hosts didn't invite them telling them the plan was to transmit HIV.

Given everything that has transpired in the thread about intentionally exposing others to HIV, what is your intent with this and the other thread you've started on this subject?  An ongoing war with no hope of a clear ending?

This is obviously a topic where some folks simply have to agree to disagree.  The local laws (whether we judge them good or not) will handle your scenarios.

I tend to agree with you, that the only way to discuss specific cases in in reference to the specific laws. The second element is too often missing from the threads, and we have to remind OPs to get informed about them, or pull it out of them. And by then, the thread has a life of its own, far removed from relevancy to the specific incident.
So that was my point - to show that one's general opinion might only profitably be debated in specific context, and if the context is thrown out the window, then we get nowhere.
So, in a nutshell, I agree with you!

Where is the consent in sex when one party is drugged?

What is the purpose of this thread?

A ten line article, is not a real case history of anything, so what is there to discuss?  It appears the accused are guilty of various crimes, and the drugged victims, are just that, victims.  We know who is responsible, don't you?

Since there are 12 victims, there seems to be no contest to the voracity of the case.  Therefore, a clear case of rape.

No discussion needed here, the assailants were clear and organized in this obvious act of violence against the victims.
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

The only thing that is clear in this case is the syringe. The rest is not. Ugly sceletons have been draged out of the closets, reknown virologists opinions differ, history of excessive dug and alcohol abuse and unsafe sex by the victims and the efforts from lawyer twinbrothers Anker are making this case very complicated.
Won't be surprised if we all are left baffeled by the veredict.
