FINALLY! THANK YOU EVERYONE
« on: June 19, 2014, 03:48:57 pm »
Thank you everyone for putting up with my anxiety, and questions, i'm sure more will come some day. However, in the meantime, i'm FINALLY FINALLY UNDETECTABLE! I got the news while at work and could seriously bust out in tears. Thanks Irish, MECCH, Zach, Jeff, Ann, and everyone else for listening to me, and talking me through the beginnings, now I can move past this more.

Thanks so much!

Jeff, call me a nerd but all I can hear is trumpets playing announcing the arrival of the troops. :) actually I know can picture a full on scene. Haha!

I was just looking back at the last 4 months and wow, what a whirlwind, I feel like I'm starting to wake up again. It's weird, you hear people coming off anti depressants and a fog like feeling being lifted, I have to tell you all, it was the most awesome feeling opening up those tests and seeing the results the other day. Looking back I didn't realize how much stress and how much tension I was putting my body through. I feel like the shock is actually wearing off now. I still walk around sometimes and see myself in the mirror and I swear I squint. I squint and try to see if I'm still there, and every time it's me looking back. Smiling. I'm still me, I'm still chatty Kathy who loves to talk and meet people. I love connecting with people. Idk how to put it into words, when I look back on the last 4 months, I just see a derailed train, a pile trash, a lot of wasted energy and I truly envision just myself now waking up and walking away from it. I feel like my brain is accepting what's happening. I know there's a lot to come, and I know there's going to be ups and downs, but at least I'm back on a track at all. At least I never infected anyone because I wasn't being a responsible gay man. Granted I obviously wasn't responsible when I had the sex, but hey we all make mistakes. Idk, I guess I'm just glad I'm alive, and in a good position, it could be so much worse. Now it's time for me to get my much needed beauty sleep.

Night and Love all,

Abso!

congrads....nice piece of mind, I  also just became undetectable , thankful the treatments are good at containing the virus in most cases today..Still a struggle but happy not such a threat to any partner and our immune systems can become stronger over time and recover as well as they are able to. Modern medicine is amazing, still feel for all those who were before us, and there is a long way to go but with forums like this and improving treatments , sure helps with our mental battle in the fight against hiv.
