Well, I am still a bit lost on the logic of the living characters in the show.  That whole family is dumb.  The husband KNOWS that the dead gf is a ghost, but tells her she needs therapy? Even the dead gf has a laugh at that one.

Love Jessica Lange. :)

I don't think he believes she is dead..he thinks that the shovel man and her are in cahoots to blackmail him and get...one thousand dollars...

..for a murdered the shovel man is very polite as he did apologize for killing her...then he set about to preparing the house for a bomb fire....

...can't wait to see how Quinto stops him.."what are you doing to my house?"

..and Mrs Charles untied McDermott and whispered for him to go save the baby..so, I wonder if she knows who the daddy is...

You are correct. That is what he said in the garden to shovel man.

But, the character killed her, dug a hole, threw the body in cemented it over and built a gazebo. Why would he think, an episode or two later, she didn't die??

My solution is we just have to be have fun with the show, they haven't make a huge effort to make it deep, or real feeling.  Nor is it self-referencing or post-modern. Its classy pulp.

No that's not how it happened.  ;)

Doc Ben, in a poisoned-coffee haze thanks to hot-maid Moira, had been out digging in the side yard about to uncover old-maid Moira's bones. Hayden showed up and confronted Ben. Just in the nick of time Larry, aka Burned Man, showed up too and he whacked Hayden with a shovel. Ben checked her pulse and "thought" her dead. Burned Man said he would take care of things, and proceeded to drag the body to the side yard where he finished digging the hole Ben started and discovered dead Moira's body while she watched from the upstairs window.

Ben, still half dazed (enough to think he might have killed his patient), believed the Burned Man had buried Hayden's body, and so he built the gazebo over that spot. Ben was also afraid that he might have put that possibly dead client in that hole too! Then when Hayden showed back up later, Ben concluded that Larry and Hayden were in on a plan (especially with it being Halloween) to blackmail him for $1000 and to force him to be back with Hayden again.

::) wow, that's convoluted. LOL and it didn't even have anything to do with my favorite character - RubberMan!

I recorded the Halloween Pt 2 episode, but haven't watched it yet.  My brother said it was an awful show, even though he is in love with Quinto.  But, he also didn't like Seinfeld, so that tells you something.  He does like True Blood, however.

While it was recording, I heard Quinto's character say, "He's probably out giving a bunch of unprotected blow jobs."  Or, something like that.  So, that hooked me enough to check this show out.   ;D

Wow I really wasn't paying attention! Thanks.

Yeah, what is an "unprotected" blowjob anyway? Is this what straight writers think gay guys bicker about in their couples?

..really?....ok....no condom........and...in my own opinion..... a bj with a condom....yuck....

Grimm.....the reluctant comedy relief werewolf...my favorite scene is when Grimm is using him for help in his home as he is doing his pilates, then making coffee while bitching about being used ...."what am I?   Grimm Reaper wikapedia?"

..then having to protect the woman who cut off the feet and head of his family and hung them on a pole...he's in her face  "if they knew I was protecting you, I wouldn't be invited for Thanksgiving.."

I keep forgetting that I have been brainwashed by Disney regarding the original stories of Grimm..that they were written to frighten children into obedience... ::)

Chuck....this was the first episode I've seen since the new season and I'm not sure I like it anymore...the magic is gone...

Sanctuary....apparently she isn't going to have a lesbian affair every episode...in fact she was once again being hit on by old male flames..."let's go find a janitor's closet and..."

Constance is dead and she is a ghost. (Jessica Lange's character) -  in response to earlier question if she was dead or not.

what makes you think that? I'm pretty certain she's alive - since she was crying over her dying daughter in the middle of the street with the cops and medics looking on. ;) And especially since she is seen off the Murder House property - so far that's where all the ghosts have been seen except for when they got to roam on Halloween.

I think the Harmons and Constance (and until recently Addy) are the only live people in the show. However, the Burned Man and the realtor "might" also be live people. Hayden was alive until just recently.

I...I...I...just...don't know....

I seem to have my lost my talent for predicting plots...these writers are insidious...

I thought Tate was an innocent....ha...I got proved wrong

Constance must be a High Priestess for an ORder of the REturn of the Most Malevolent and is feeding the demon child raw body organs..from human or animal... I don't know, but when Vivien dug into that brain in the beautifully decorated bowl....

..I thought I was going to puke...

..the nurse did see a hoof in the sonogram and is now devoted her life to living in a church and praying for us all....

I forgot the name of the girl who first saw Tate in the basement in his true form...

..but...it seems another Part of Tate is gentle and caring and saved Violet from her overdose of sleeping pills professing his love for her...

..unless he's saving her for some future Ritual Sacrifice....

that part was totally gross. :P

plus you'd think it would be a warning sign when your crazy neighbor, who keeps wandering into your house and being bitchy to you, asks you to eat raw meat that she conveniently brings by.

according to the Medium and the msg she passed on from Addy, it seems dying ON the property doesn't count -  or at least that's the rules laid down in this episode. LOL I guess death has to happen IN the house for people to stay.

Where was Rubber Man?!?!?
The doc is out of the house a lot now, and I didn't see Rubber Man lurking around even once. You'd think with this episode having a lot in it about his baby, he would have at least been watching Viv eat the meat.

all-in-all, I wanted more out of this episode than I got. :(

I'm not really sure where this show is trying to go, and I must say, I'm a little disappointed in the last 2 episodes, I do hope things get better , too many flash-backs, and the story-line seems to be all-over-the map  I wanna see more of the 2 gay men, and Rubber Man running about when they are in the house together,
now that would be more interesting ::)

the way it was billed before airing, you would have thought it was going to be "TB (the first season) lite" at least. Instead they seemed to have blown the whole budget of nudity in the first episode.

btw TB=True Blood

Is Violet actually cutting herself, or only thinking about it, and they are showing what she is thinking?

I have to say that this 'cutting oneself' is something I have never understood....heck.. I didn't know one would do anything like this until I started seeing it on TV.

I guess it's a part of true reality.. American Horror.....I know it horrifies me.

I recently read an article about AHS that talked the strange editing/story timeline discussing how the timeline and editing jumps (like the beginning credits even) so that the story is nearly told out of linear sequence. The author posits that in the end we may be told that everyone we have been introduced to has been long dead and we've only been watching an elaborate ghost story in the first place.

btw have you seen WHO is inside the gimp suit? Who stupid bit of casting was covering up a guy with those looks inside a rubber mask?!?

Oh, what was that nurse thinking? HE should have made a pretty baby....

I know he was good in bed because Vivien was in wide eyed wonder and all used up afterwards....(she should have known it wasn't her hubby )

On a much lighter note, I watched Geek Charming on Disney and was absolutely enchanted with the movie and characters...

I don't know. :D Throwing on that gimp suit probably would have spiced the hell outta that vanilla sex those two obviously weren't having much of.  ;) I mean look at the situation. their still-born second child was going to be born 14/15 years after their first child. That's a long time to go between procreating.

btw,
anyone watching "The Walking Dead" on AMC on sunday nights? I've really enjoyed this series and thought tonite's episode was pretty awesome (and i've only watched half of it so far!)

Just like AHS, it's enormously satisfying to be watching these shows off the national channels. Seeing adult fare with just enough gore, profanity, sex, etc. - just like real life (or undead life as in the case of the zombies in TWD) - makes for some decent entertainment.

Constance's character is at least intriguing and of course a great performance.
I like the three ladies and the sweetbreads scene.

I want to see next week's epy more than this week. I saw a lot of RubberMan. :-* Even Quinto in the suit, i think.

"murder House" sure is the right name for that place, isn't it? every week we learn about even more death people still living there.

Un FREakin-believeable....twins?

I just knew that Constance had other children..knewitknewitknewit...but I have to say I did not see the chained 'monster' in the attic coming...

I suspected the security guard was the rubberman, until Mikie's link above....but Vivien definitely has a thing for him...

Tate appears to be a sweeter, gentler, caring ghost than he was alive, unless he only changed from being possessed..

The Armenian was a jerk and deserved what he got..and Constance is just running the show.."is he dead yet?.....well,, make sure he's off the property before he dies.. I don't want him to be".. 'hanging around'

'GO AWAY'....that is a handy thing to know in case you ever find yourself in a house full of ghosts...

I did not see next weeks preview  :)
catch the preview vid here. RM seems to feature in a lot of the episode.

Constance is just running the show.."is he dead yet?.....well,, make sure he's off the property before he dies.. I don't want him to be".. 'hanging around'
yes Constance does seem to be the grande dame of  the place, doesn't she? wonder how she lost the place, knowing so many of her children remained there and knowing so well what was up with the house? You'd think it would have arranged for her to stay there to "protect" itself. Except of course she's too old to produce another baby now (and didn't seem to be able to do that well, several handicapped kids and Tate with his mental imbalance) much less demon twins. LOL

Poor Viv. Wonder if the house will have her killed after it has used her up?  (Talking about the house like that reminds me of the hotel in "The Shining" and how the ghosts there worked together for the good of the hotel)

'GO AWAY'....that is a handy thing to know in case you ever find yourself in a house full of ghosts...
Randy and I owned a haunted house, and that command always worked for us. No there was no RubberMan there :D; but there were appariations and chatty ghosts that we had to tell to "go away" and "be quiet" so we could have some peace in the house. After watching Ghost Hunters, etc, I sure wish I knew then what I know now; plus I wish they had had digital cameras, etc back in the late 80s. I would have loved to have collected evidence about that place cause we had a lot of happenings there.

Constance is not a ghost (she's related to 2 or 3 of the ghost) as she can leave the hose any times she wants ( she lives next door) only the ghost can leave to house on Hollween, I mean, how did Constance leave the house and confront the Armenian guy to lure him back to the house to get his junk-bit-off by the ghost maid  ;D

just read a good comment on today's FB entry
(which asks if you would like to have Constance as a neighbor?! :o egads, no! Ipecak cupcakes, need I say more)
about tonight's show:
(where everyone is talking about who RubberMan is. Consensus is Constance's 4th child - the one with "other interests")

The long starring performance of Jessica Lange in the last week's episode increased my enjoyment and appreciation for the series.  She was terrific.

It seems like the writers or directors realised as they started filming that she needs to be onscreen more?

Also, hottie Dylan has been barely on lately...

I read an article that talked about how JL refused to even take the part if Constance didn't become a larger part of the story. Then audience reaction to her has been so well, that the writers did have to update what they had planned for the story to incorporate more of JL/Constance

What man see is really the ruse, and what woman see is her true reserved older-ghost form.....
