10th of October is World Mental Health Day

We recently had world suicide prevention day https://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=70662.0 and this month its World Mental Health Day

Some info on World Mental Health Day
https://t.co/c0vd2AdZSL
2018 report: https://wfmh.global/wp-content/uploads/WMHD_REPORT_19_9_2018_FINAL.pdf

I'm sure anyone on social media has seen tones of information on this pass by today

Its worth repeating though here, as that mental health challenges continues to impact far too many people from all walks of life, its estimated 1 in 4 adults will at some stage in their lives will be impacted.

Mental health concern is also an issue that has far higher rates under the HIV community at large, and I think everyone knows my views on HIV care that more needs to be done in terms of holistic care including mental health support. Popping HIV meds, getting the virus suppressed and moving on with it, might be fine for some but others simply need more support than that.

Take care.

Jim

Oh the joy, mental health day was marked at work with a morning tea.

I didn't get to go as I have a 'critical' role.

Any old how, it is nice to work for an employer who actually has a mental health strategy even if there is still a long way to go.
