My dear roommate Liz and I now have both feet planted firmly in the 21st century with today's installation of digital cable, cable Internets, and a cable phone.
It's amazing what they can put into one wire these days.
Our apartment currently looks like the biggest audiovisual geeks in the history of humanity live there.
The cats have lost their minds with glee over all the new wires to play with... and I'm kind of worried that one of them might chew through a wire... and disrupt our cable service. ;)
But I hope you know what this means... drunken Internetting.
Oh yes.

That's 22nd century technology, as far as I'm concerned. :D
I only just got a cell phone like 4 months ago. No joke.
I'm rather technophobic... I have difficulty trusting it sometimes.
Plus, I have a desktop computer... I don't like the thought of carrying something so valuable with me at all times. And I like getting out without feeling the need to check Myspace every five minutes.
I'm a "read the newspaper in coffeeshop" sort of person when I'm out.

I would watch the kitties,Au. My little devil bit through my internet wire so I had to go wireless for my laptop. Just to let you know, if you got this deal thru Time Warner Cable, expect your digital phone to go out when there is bad weather. It has happened to me a few times, otherwise enjoy....

Thanks, Queen... they're actually pretty good at ignoring wires generally... they're more into knocking full glasses off the coffee table.
We got all this stuff through Comcast, and if the phone goes, we have our cell phones... so those can function as backup.

Just so you know, phily, I have no cell phone. I do have a desk top computer with a dial-up modem. No Lap tap. No complaints.

Me too. It is nice to be able to sit on the couch and use the pc or at the kitchen table, etc. About the only place I use mine out of the house is when I'm out of town.

I've had a lot of new technology added to my house of late....
a 52" HD Projection TV...a 21"LCD TV (bedroom)...wireless internet from bell south (the New AT&T)
a new laptop computer...new desktop and..... direcTV with 250 channels...
its taken three months to learn how
to operate all the above...so What's next
....A Video Camera...
