Neurologist in NYC Area

Could anyone possibly recommend a good neurologist in the NYC area?  Since my ID Dr left abruptly last month I cant ask her and I hate to do the yellow pages/internet look up.  Would rather hear from someone who has actually gone.  Thanks for any info.....Joe

he might hear something there that might, via serendipity,  remind him to do something important
or ask something important either there or elsewhere.

that's the beauty of group discussions, message boards, etc.

in my book, the concept of 'six degrees of separation' applies not only to people but to thoughts
in the framework of stimuli, introspection, etc.

you don't know exactly what's going to be discussed (and remember it's a group discussion) so stop judging. besides, it's free.

as a friend of mine said "one thought leads to another, and another, and another, and so on." that is the point.

furthermore, i don't answer to you. never have, never will. change your tone and i'll think about changing mine. fortunately for me/us there's always the ignore button should I/we run low on patience.

my fascination with serendipity is one of my idiosyncrasies so when i post a post like this i say it with a small prayer of white light

who knows, maybe someone in the neurology field will be there contributing to the Q & A

Joe -- Bucko is on the money... David Simpson is one of the best in New York City when it comes to neurologic problems in people living with HIV. Another to consider is Josh Torgovnick, MD.

see my last post. we can't predict the future. who knows, maybe discussions related to neurology will pop up at the support group.

as i said, when i make certain suggestions, they might not fit the bill like a pair of electric blue hotpants but i always suggest them with a small prayer for white light (serendipity)

Thanks to everyone for the info. I will definitely look into one of those 2 Drs mentioned.  I trust the personal experience of others over my insurance company Dr search engine any day of the week!
