Had protected sex but got chlamydia

Hi,

I had vaginal sex with a sex worker without protection 6 months ago. (Unfortunately I got gonorrhea and HPV from her. I used 2 weeks of antibiotics for gonorrhea with doctor advise)

2 weeks later I got almost all the symptoms of HIV (fever, diarrhea, sore throat, fatigue and flu like symptoms. that is the same time that I realized that I have gonorrhea)

20 days later I took a combo test for HIV. The test result was late and when I asked hospital personel for the test result, they told me that they were making the test again because my values were close to the threshold. (This is the point where I snapped) Then I learned that the test was negative.

I took anti-hiv tests at day 53 and  day 91. And they came up negative.

I realized that I have white hairy tongue (doctor examined) at 53rd day. And this hairy tongue is not getting any better till now.
I saw that hairy tongue can be a sign of HIV. What I want to ask is if this was HIV related, anti-hiv test at day 91 would be reliable or should I take another test now after 6 months?

Disregard the above post you posted in a forum you shouldn't have. You have a conclusive negative test result and don't need further testing.

A hairy tongue is not in anyway an HIV-specific occurence. With that negative at 91 days you can relax about HIV this time.

But you need to avoid worrying again and the answer is very simple. Use a condom everytime for vaginal and anal intercourse and you will be well protected against the sexual transmission of HIV. It's really that simple. No exceptions. Use one everytime.

Hi everyone,

I am a male and I have protected vaginal sex with a girl and I got chlamydia (condom did not broke). I did not use condom during the foreplay which may caused chlamydia to pass. (I think that contact caused the infection.)
There was no penetration without condom. What is the risk for HIV infection?

Chlamydia is a very easily transmitted bacterial infection. Yes, you probably were infected during foreplay.

Hiv is NOT an easily transmitted infection and you were NOT at risk for hiv during this encounter. Keep using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!
