Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Is the lesson fit for all races?

Firstly, I am sorry for my reply in another thread.

I have read the lesson carefully.
My question is : Is the lesson fit for all races? I am Asian.

My behavior is handjob, touching pudendum using one finger.

There was no visible cut in my penis and finger. At least, i hadn't seen and couldn't feel any cuts. And the girl even didn't put off her wearing and jean.

I had a test at 30 days, the result is negative.

Can you give me some advice?

Yes the lessons are fit for every person on this earth.  The virus does NOT discriminate who it infects.

You didnt have a risk for HIV infection from just giving a handjob.  Keep reading those lessons to find out how it is actually transmitted.

Use a condom for anal or vaginal intercourse and you wont need to worry about HIV.

Yes, absolutely. Your race makes no difference in relation to HIV transmission.

And as AC has pointed out, the incident you are concerned about was not a risky one. Period. End of story.

Thanks, I will comply with the forum rules.

I have learned more knowledge here, and I will read the lesson more carefully.

Now, 32 days have passed , there is no special symptoms in my genitals. Everything is normal. Should I have a STD test?

No, I don't see any need for you to do any STD testing.

In general we do recommend that anyone who's active should regularly have a full STD panel done. Once a year is good and every six months for anyone who's very active.

Thanks for your reply.

There is another thing. About 10 months ago, I had a protected insertive vaginal intercourse (my only sexual experience), and the girl is sex worker.

 I do want to ask the same question:
There is no special symptoms in my genitals. Everything is normal. Should I have a STD test? I am a little anxious about syphilis. Is it possible?

Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission so there's no need for concern as far as that is concerned.

As I said previously, if you are sexually active having an annual STD panel done is always a good idea. If you had caught something else you would have almost certainly been manifesting symptoms by now.

So testng would be just a precaution and not because there's a likelihood of any problems.
