18 months in

I thought I would give you all an update on my progress & in the hopes that others read this in similar situations.

I was diagnosed summer 2018; PCP, cd4; 6 VL; 151k

It’s taken me until October 2019 to reach UD levels. I was freaked out at first as you see others get there in months, weeks. Mine took over a year.

Bloods back March 2019. Cd4; 277 and VL still U.

We’re not all the same & im living proof that it can take a while, so if you’re the same, don’t worry, don’t give up. Follow advice, eat well, live well & you can get there.

Congratulations Marcanthony! besides you have reached being UD you kept good habits while you were fighting to reach stability.
this must be the exmple for everyone when they feel like a breakdown their life.
how old are you? what meds are taking now?

Yes it was tough and there were times where it was hard, never thought I’d get here.

I’m 36 now. I started on Truvada & raltegarivr; worked very well
Doctors switched me to genvoya; didn’t work & VL was up & down
Switched me to Truvada and dolutegravir; I currently take dolutegravir twice a day, works well.

I was also taking dapsone for the pneumonia; but that’s now stopped

Good times are ahead for you mark,,, it took me a little over 24 months to mentally wrap my head around this and not think about it hourly...  hang in there
