One year on
« on: May 16, 2014, 04:42:44 pm »
So it's been a year since I have learnt I am HIV poz. I was very lucky as I found out still during the conversion and the HIV nurse was the best ever in assuring me I was going to be ok. I am glad she was the first contact after the GP asked me to contact ID. It hasn't been all easy, though I have not really cried or fallen into depression. I collected my meds the following day and life goes on. I am UD, CD4 1040 during last check up and I am healthy. it wasn't all good last year but I also do not think it is because of me being poz. I made sure I do not travel to countries I should not with my diagnosis and things are getting better with my partner. So here is to another 50 hopefully or as long as I am going to be lucky to be here :)

EUINAU  Sounds like things are working out well for you.  With your positive attitude  things can only get better in the next 50 years. Wish you all the best.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems but it will annoy enough people to make it worthwhile.                              The point of the journey is not to arrive.
