Guest vs member----Lurking vs logging in.

I'll go first and admit I visit the forums frequently throughout the day without logging in.  I like to read and catch up, see if there are any specific hot topics that particularly interest me.

So that's why I'm starting this poll.

How often, (if ever) do you just lurk as a guest as opposed to logging in?

Actually I used to lurk a lot more at the old forums. I rarely lurk here. Must be all the bright shiny things to play with.

I pretty much stay logged in continuously. I may get up from the computer for a few hours, but I check the forums several times a day. There are some days that I do spend most of the day right here.

The Living With HIV is my Windows Home Page, so lurking is not even a choice.

On this computer I'm logged in all the time so I don't have much of a choice.

If I use Michael's computer (which I did last week when he was gone) then I'm just a lookey-loo.

The only time I lurk is if I forget to log in and I attempt to respond to a message.  Otherwise, I always log in.  I just need to change the log in window period; far too many times I've been in mid message when I time out and lose the entire thread only to have to attempt to re-type.  Some days that's easier than others!

Cheers,

On the old forums,I used to log in only on very rare occaisions.  Logging in and out is faster and easier on the new setup so I log in more often, but for the most part I still  only log in when I want to respond to something.

I usually log in to check pm's or to respond to posts, then I log out.

I'm logged in most of the time. Since I work at home on my computer this is very easy for me to work, and see what's happening on the forum as well.
