Bilirubin levels on medication
« on: February 19, 2018, 06:10:15 pm »
Hi guys

Diagnosed 2005 put on Atripla till 2013 now
I'm currently on Truvada/Evotaz antiretrovirals and have been for 4 and a half years.

I caught hep c in 2016 and cured in early 2017...
My bilirubin has always been a bit high .. last time was in the late 30s and last week went for a routine blood test at GP and it was 57.

It's always fluctuating and was just wondering if anyone else on that combination ARs have the same elevated Bilirubin (and only bilirubin) levels??

My consultant doesn't seem to see anything wrong but just would like to get your experiences... :)

Thanks

Chris x

The medication you are on, Evotaz (Reyataz, here in the US) is known to raise bili levels.  There is no concern with the slight increase.  In the 12+ years that I have been taking this med, my bili has been elevated about 75% of the time.
