Moving out of the USA to Mexico
« on: November 27, 2020, 05:10:08 pm »
Hello all,
This year I was diagnosed with HIV. I have gone through the crazy emotional rollercoaster that comes associated with it and now I am doing well. I was very lucky to have gotten in touch with a clinic that offered me a clinical trial. This trial covers my medicine and doctor's expenses for two years (which is very lucky because I was working abroad and am currently uninsured in the USA).  My partner lives in Mexico and I have been considering moving down with him but feel overwhelmed by the situation. I would have to come to the US every three months until the trial is over. However, I am more worried about what happens once the trial is over. I know here in the USA I would be covered by Ryan White and or hopefully a job health insurance. However, If I move to Mexico I am unsure of how I would go about getting medicine.
My question is, has anyone ever moved from the USA to Mexico? What was your experience like in finding a doctor/medicine? Is it possible?
I feel stuck in the USA. I make a good income online to live comfortably in Mexico but barely enough to live/survive in the USA.
Any input is appreciated

ojo.      Hi there...tell your partner to look for information in “ La Condesa Clinic”, if he lives in Mexico City if not, look for CAPASID, I think that’s the right spelling, for information...good luck

Hiya,

Can't add anything about moving to Mexico, but wanted to say welcome to the forum, and bump the thread up.

Sorry to read you had a rough first year and glad that you are doing better now.

Best, Jim
