hiv concern is killing me

one week ago i had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker. i also had protected anal with this person for about a minute then i realized it was a man. in a short skirt and so on and we was doing anal. i pulled out as this was happening he removed the condom but i didnt see it happen. after handling the condom he saw blood on it and it was on his hands. i checked my penis for any signs blood. it was clean. i did not ejaculate once.. my mind is playing games with me now.. what if there was blood on my pubes and i put my pants back on? was the condom on right?? would i feel the difference without it.. im breaking down right now in the mental department.. i took an hiv test 6 days later but i know this means nothing.. im so scared right now.cant eat or sleep now. dont know what else todo. finally after reading everything that i can online i have decided to ask you...

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection.

Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk. Not one person has ever been infected while getting a blowjob and you aren't going to be the first.

What's important is that you had protected intercourse. Condom have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and renders it unable to infect. For this reason, it does not matter if you had blood on your pubic hair, nor does it matter if there was blood on the outside of the condom.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

thank you for taking the time to talk to me.. your words helped my stress levels slightly. this person didnt take real good care of themselfs and i feel sick to my stomach that this has happened. even tho you said there is no risk my brain cant get around that fact.. i didnt check his oral health.. i dont know if his gums were bleeding it was dark and i didnt see.. i am going to book myself into my local GP this week to get checked for anything else. i cant stay off the net, im searching everything HIV ands its driving me mad. i know you guys are sick of the same questions so im sorry to be doing this to you. i really feel like i messed up big time and i dont know how to deal with this stress

It doesn't matter if this person had bleeding gums. Unless you're in the habit of repeatedly punching a person in the mouth before they blow you, there couldn't possibly be enough blood present to present a risk.

Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

You're just freaking out and feeling guilty because you thought you were with a woman, but she turned out to be biologically male. Knock it off.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection. End of story.

The only way anyone else from this website would ever know your email address is if you posted it publicly or sent it to someone in a PM. As you didn't post it publicly and cannot send or receive PMs, that is obviously not the case.
