3rd time my car has been broken into in as many months...
« on: August 27, 2007, 06:40:46 pm »
Okay..I have had it! I live a very expensive apartment complex, with a gated parking deck and this is the third time my vehicle has been broken into in as many months!

Of course, my lease agreement excludes the property from any and all liability. Meaning that they do not and will not guarantee a secure parking environment for anyone. I have filed yet another police report so it can on record that my car has been hit...mind you all, I just bought the car in February and it has been hit three times!

I had the estimate done today to see what it will take to get fixed: $632 thank you very much! I have also decided to get have a security system installed and that will cost another $730. So this weekend, Jeromy is have the alarm installed, and will schedule the repairs sometime next week, because they can't the parts in till then.

I have 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4 door)...I made the mistake of locking the center console and the glove box...well I wont be doing that again...of course I keep nothing in the vehicle, because of just this problem.

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH I am so frustrated at this point...I just feel violated and not in the way I like to be violated either!

So, do I file with my insurance and pay the $500 deductible or do I just suck it up and pay the $632 out right...I am leaning for the latter because then my rates wont go up.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

God I am pissed off. And it's only mine this time...last time the fuckers hit three other cars...this time I think mine was the only one.

Anyway, I had to vent it out...so now I am going to the gym to see if I can work some of this anger and frustration out!

Thanks for being here everyone!

oh honey, no matter how you look at it...YOU ARE GETTING FUCKED...and not how you like it....

pay the damn 600 bucks and don't report to your insurance...it will end up cost you more after they jack up your premiums.

rich

PS..sorry about your car misfortunes..same thing happened to me when I lived in my "gated, camera secured" condo on a fucking Island ...now how the hell wasn't this an inside job?

I was thinking the exact same thought even while I was still reading the latter part of the post. And why aren't the cameras catching anything.

Hi J~

I would be livid and ready to cap someone's ass!  Damn full moon!  I agree, it probably is someone who lives there.  What did they take?  Just looking for CDs and shit, or what?

Personally, I would have a stake out, winch the ass onto your Jeep and run him over.

Who knows...but the management office did say that they have cameras budgeted for next year...personally I am thinking about taking up signatures around the complex and sending them to the corporate office. I am just livid...I just did a half hour of lifting now I am just a bit hungry and need to eat some protein before I really do cap someone's ass...

I am sure they were looking for whatever may be worth something...but I learned that lesson back in LA years ago...so I leave nothing in the vehicle...

I am thinking about placing pepper spray in the console, when someone opens it, they get it right in the face...

Is it just your car? Usually when there are break ins there are a shit load of cars that have at least broken windows. I assume that you don't leave anything visible inside.

It appears that mine was the only hit this time around...the top was down on my jeep and I leave nothing in the car...they figured I must have hid something in the glove box or the console...

Question? you have a deductable for vandalism... theft? Under my policy everything would be covered... you can have video equipment installed in your vehicle... I have a maserati where everything, everyone is filmed... also I live in a historic neighborhood and I have a surveilance system where I have access on my computer at the office and I can tell whats going on at my house while I'm at the office. Its a shame what people have to do to insure their property is not being violated. Now my toyota echo that I drive to the office is fair game... its my commuter car.

I hate it when shit like this happens. But I think it happens to a lot of us. My front tire was slashed when I got back from vacation last week. I really pissed me off. But then I put things into pespective and was thankful it was just one, and that it was all that was done. I talked myself down from the anger and I do think it helped me not wast any more energy on it. Now if it were the third time, I think I would be raising hell with the management.

Take care,

CA

Here's what you need Jeromy: http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/africa/9812/11/flame.thrower.car/

Be sure and watch the video demonstration. Takes a minute to load but is worth the wait.

What happened to the VW? The first time I took Jeffrey home to meet mom he had a Jeep Wrangler and she flat out told him I was probably dating him for his car because I had wanted a Jeep all through high school.  ;D
Jeffrey's conole was broken into also and after he got it fixed he just never kept it locked.

This totally sucks, sorry to hear about your break ins,
Jeff
