Need you advice, If you can help me
« on: January 21, 2018, 09:53:50 am »
Hi,
I woul like to seek your advice on the present conditions, I am mentioning in detail.
After about 22 days of having protected sex 3 times (using condom) but I was drunk and i had done cunnilingus with a girl whom I knew for a few months, I started to experience some heath issues. That include
1) Throat tonsilitis, that is not getting cured fully.
2) under the jaw tightedness, if I eat something sour orange, I have sharp pain below ear and little headache. But can not feel any swelling.
3) Groin uneasiness and slight pain without any swelling till now.
4) Weight loss of about 2 kgs.
5) little rash on under arms with burning sensation if I fold my hands.
6) Sometimes during lunch or dinner I dont feel like eating. I feel I am full and feeling nausea.
7) Bowel is also not good, I took some medicine it deteriorates but improves later.
8 ) Little headache now, as I am writing  and head is heavy.
9 ) tingling feeling in head and feel like itching in head.

No fever till now but my feet becomes too cold sometimes.

Adding to this, I would like to mention that I used to drink liquor around 2-3 times a week, which I have suddenly stopped for these many days after this encounter just worrying that it might have a bad impact on the body.

I did undergo the following tests
HIV Tridot - negative
VDRL - Negative
CBC - Normal
HbAsg - Negative
DNA PCR- RESULTS awaiting

Do you think any of my symptom related to HIV infection or are they related to cessation of liquor intake or any other reason?
Any tests that you would suggest, that will give me a clear picture at this stage which is sureshot?

The girl if under medication (just thinking if she lied to me that she is not positive) how likely a person having sex with her will contact hiv?

None of your symptoms here are related to HIV, if you are sick see a doctor and treat whatever is making you ill. We can't help you with that.

As for your risks well nothing you posted here would result in HIV transmission.
HIV does not transmit through an intact condom - end of story.

As for cunnilingus, its not a HIV concern either, see the fluid a woman produces when sexually excited comes from the Bartholin's glands, this is a lubricating fluid and does not have any more hiv present than other bodily secretions such as saliva, sweat or tears. Saliva, sweat and tears are not infectious fluids.

Keep in mind that HIV firstly needs to be present for it to be a risk and in sufficient quantity for it to transmit, it also than needs an effective route, and it must also reach cells which are susceptible to infection.

Simple Cunnilingus does not meet the biological requirements.

If she is HIV positive or not it simple does not matter as nothing you posted would or could result in the transmission of HIV.

My advice is simply move on with your life, this incidents were not HIV risks to you and neither was the girl. Its not who you do it with its how you do it.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your advice.
I just got the HIV 1 DNA PCR report and it is a negative.

As mentioned before I also did few tests to confirm ny hiv status which was before this encounter like
HIV Tridot - negative
VDRL - Negative
CBC - Normal
HbAsg - Negative

Is it a conclusive result or Should I go with HIV 2 RNA PCR test now and  4th generation ELISA later after 3 months just to get confirmation that I am surely negative?

No need to test at all. You could in otherwords test whenever you please or not at all the result will be the same over this incident. See what you posted here simply can not result in HIV transmission as it did not meet the biological needs for HIV to transmit.

We can't help you on this matter further. To be blunt move on with your life and stop looking for an issue you don't have.

Now if you ever have a true risk than test at 3 months post exposure with an antibodies test for a conculsive result.

Hi Jim, the reason I am asking is because, i checked withvENT Speacialist, and found that my tonsils are very swollen and she prescribed medicines for 5 days. But I had not had any cold food or anything like that in these days. How can my tonsils get so enlarged.

My worries are not ending, any suggestions?

Tonsils swell for all kinds of reasons. If they are still bothering you see a different doctor, if the medication helped than move on and put it behind you. You got medication and it worked, happy days.

However to be very clear nothing you posted including the tonsils have anything to do with HIV from the incident concerned about, this is simply because HIV is not transmitted that way, ever! - Stop looking for an issue you don't have I mean it.
