Hello,

Greetings!

First of all I would like to thank the awesome moderators and members in this forum. No words can express how grateful I am finding this website. For sure you know how lost souls are if this site didn’t exist.

Second I have read almost everything from top to bottom I guess (or maybe the area’s where I’m concern).  Welcome Thread/Lessons/Transmissions/Mod’s punch lines/signatures  ;D. And for that I would like to apologize in advance for I am a very hardheaded (no pun intended) person.

Third I respect how valuable your time is so here goes…

Would you guys be so kind of giving me knowledge/wisdom on what other STI’s a Heterosexual Male can get from Receiving Oral Sex and what symptoms would show (i'm experiencing a few) from Female [Fellatio/BJ (Head, Sides all the way to the shaft and balls – Sucked/Licked)].

(Yes I know) (And please believe me, I avoid micro-examining myself) No fever so far! My symptoms are: Itchy throat, mild pain on right tonsils and pain in right groin area for two weeks up until now. Intermittent head, body/muscle/joint aches, Intermittent Diarrhea. And started last Saturday night up to now, pain after urination (not during). Like I have to pee again and if I try to pee I do pee a little. Like I have to do it few times before the pain goes away. any from your assessment history? please, I’m so scared…

To make this post valid for risk assessment.

Just got back here in the U.S. from a quick get-away in the Philippines. Had some action with a college tuition girl. We did protected vaginal sex, before she put the Durex fetherlite condom, to my surprise she gave me a head and lick the urethra, like trying to put her 5 inches tongue inside the small opening (unprotected) [I’m trying to humor myself w/ the 5 inches tongue], and I was like stop!!! (that was like 10 seconds) and I told her not the head, so she  just did the sides & balls. When she put the condom on, I didn’t wipe the saliva on top of my Richard, I’m not sure maybe some went inside the urethra. During the happening my pimple in my pubic area near my shaft is sore because I scratch it an hour before and I believe I cut opened the boo boo?. I’m not even going to ask about the females excitement fluid.  When we finished, we washed our privates and to my stupidity using same soap, I soap mine after she soap hers…

This was a horror to me 4 weeks ago, good thing I found this site 1 week after the possible exposure.

And yes, went to my GP and took the tests last week, it was the 22nd day after the exposure. We did the Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepa Combo, Syphilis, HPV-1/2 and HIV-1/2. Did I miss anything? And what is a STREP & MONO? I saw it somewhere in this forum. are those STI’s too? The test would be available sometime this week thursday or friday. I need to prepare myself for the results, most specially looking forward on collecting my HIV negative result. If I would be getting any STI’s, would it be possible to test False HIV+ due to other STI’s? And is HIV capable of piggyback ridding with these other STI’s?

Also I would like to know if (Finger Prick) OraQuick Advance Rapid HIV-1/2 test is an ELISA/EIA test? Can it be use for 6 weeks? No one knows from the (Truck Driver Drug/HIV Testing clinic) across the street from my work.(My Alternative)  All they know the test is for 3 months. Pardon me, this is where my stubbornness kicks in, it’s not about you guys not even my GP, I just need those fact reports for me to see to believe and I can’t wait for 3 months so I want to do the 6 weeks this coming 2 more weeks.

I will be saving my last 2 post for my results. I hope i can get some info's on the other STI's even this is an HIV forum.
Again, thank you so much for your kind consideration.

Respectfully Yours,
Juan Bayani

Hello!

Of course, you cannot get HIV from receiving oral sex. So that's off the table.

And the odds of other STDs are rather low as well, but not impossible. If she had/has gonorrhea, chlamydia, and/or syphilis in her throat, then you can certainly acquire it. Same with herpes.

HIV does not "piggyback" on other pathogens. The risk for HIV is arguably greater if A) you are having unprotected vaginal/anal sex and B) the positive partner has another STD at the same time, since some research indicates that this secondary infection can cause a spike in viral load, even among people taking meds.

Thing is, you did NOT have a risk for HIV. Most people who HAVE had a risk will seroconvert within 22 days, but the gold standard remains three months. Not that this pertains to your situation.
"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Hello Guys,

I guess there's no Meds for stupidity. And that's me. It's 5 weeks now from my possible exposure and I wasn't using my head at all. Was on bed about to sleep spooning with my 8 months pregnant wife, I got turned on, one thing I know I was inside her unprotected (vaginally) from behind.

I am 1 week short for a 6 weeks preliminary test. And I can't be worst than stupid. I was holding back myself from the wife from day one, and now I more than scared worst than before I knew this forum.

I wanted to save this 2nd post for my results on a 6 weeks basis but I need some re-assurance. I have a short Richard, 3 inches long. I know I didn't pre-cum and I did withdraw. How likely is the transmission of HIV from male to female in that category? Please guys talk to me. I need more than one answer, I feel like I'm going to shut down, sorry, please...

How I'm gonna tell my wife. Is the antibody test really 6 weeks minimum? Should I get her on PEP within 72 hours? How bout the baby in the tummy?
My Other Std test came back negative, the C & G. My mind wants to explode, I'm about to throw up. I'm so sorry!

  • It just is, OK?

Juan,

What part of NO RISK for hiv did you not understand? There has never been a single man who ended up with hiv through getting a blowjob and you aren't so special that you're going to be the first.

And protected intercourse is just that - protected. Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection and your wife certainly does NOT need PEP.

This situation has everything to do with your guilty feelings about getting a blowjob and fucking another woman behind your wife's back and NOTHING to do with hiv.

Hiv isn't a punishment for straying husbands. It's a mindless virus that is transmitted in a very few, very specific ways and getting a blowjob and protected intercourse are NOT amongst them.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.

Your wife does NOT need PEP! You can't give her something you do not have - and you do not have hiv from the situation you're worried about.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
