G'Day
« on: September 04, 2011, 07:14:30 am »
New member here so I thought I should say G'day and introduce myself. I'm Joe (a.k.a: Growler) and I live in Sydney Australia. I'm male, gay, 42 and poz. Was diagnosed in Dec 2009, a memorable day for me and the Doctor who gave me results....I puked in his office. I'm happy to report that with a bit of time and perspective I'm much more relaxed about the situation now. There's alot more embarrassing stuff I could share but I'll save it for another day!

Hi Guys. I've finally had a chance to look around the site and have to admit it's impressive......also confirmed what I already knew, and that is that I have a lot more to learn about all this stuff.

Have to say though the biggest eye opener was the Am I Infected? forum... I almost pissed myself laughing at some of the bullshit that goes on there, but at the same time the ignorance and fear being expressed was just sad. The moderators have the wisdom of Solomon and patience of Job. Personally if I was in their position I would....... well I think I'll keep that thought to myself ;-)

Wolfer, I've never been accused of being a tease mate, but for now you'll just have to wait.

Im sure it wasn't at all funny at the time, but with your present reveal and good humor about the vomiting, I think you deserve some sort of award for dramatic diagnosis scene.   ;D

And here was I thinking I'd be the only Aussie on the forum :-)

Yeah the technicolour yawn was a show stopping performance. Subsequently I have considered a career in the theatre, having discovered my latent for drama, but I it wouldn't have worked out, I'd look shithouse in drag.

Welcome -- you'll find that we are a lively bunch who fight a fair bit but also come to each other's rescue -- just like a dysfunctional, but loving, family.

And here was I thinking I'd be the only Aussie on the forum :-)

Oh -- you will come across the prince of darkness himself soon enough.  An Aussie ambassador like none other.   ;D
