I saw this on the news. I don't care if she had to deal with intoxicated people. What she asked and implied to this woman was unprofessional, unnecessary, and mean. I mean, it is Boubon Street! And, the woman was actually very nice. It would be different if she was in the middle of an interview with the president or a live report about a death.
This reporter should be out on leave at the least. Did not like her smart-ass attitude, and the way she used STDs as a slur.

This reporter is from an Orlando station. So, if she can't handle it, she should have turned down the assignment. I am sure others would have liked the Super Bowl gig. And, it is disrespectful to behave that way, especially when you're a visitor. I am surprised many sites and TV shows are siding with the reporter and think she was hilarious.

not nice at all.

I guess I am overly sensitive to this or something. Most who posted on Facebook found it funny and sided with the reporter. Perhaps those who didn't find it funny just didn't respond.

Teddy -- you seem more outraged than the woman on air did.
I thought it was an ingenious way to get her to stop interrupting her spot. I am assuming it was a live spot, so............. you want to try and get your 15 seconds of fame, be careful what you wish for.

Nah. I agree with you. It was trashy, offensive, artlessly done, and snotty out of defensiveness. The point of big parties in New Orleans is rowdies and fun. GF should pull the stick out of her butt and join in.

Pitiful. I think that the young lady the "reporter" pointed the mike at was the classy one and handled that "false shade" quite well.

Now this is a classy reporter. Two men going at it behind her, and no attitude or questions about STDs.

I found it hilarious personally. I've read a ton of complaints where people said it was racist, not classy, rude, etc.......
I interpreted it as somebody trying to do their job while some attention whore was begging to be put in their place. Put a camera out and suddenly everybody wants to be a star. (If a viewer was confused enough to really think the woman had an STD, they have bigger issues than clutching their pearls)
Then, to make it worse, the girl kept mugging for the camera even after she was schooled. I hadn't seen mugging for the camera that bad since Milton Berle's last tv appearance.

I am glad I am not alone. You're doing a live report on Bourbon Street at the Super Bowl. You're not live outside of a school shooting. I think she had a stick broken off up her bum.
