Vet!
« on: August 25, 2006, 03:42:44 am »
We're going to sort of go for an evaluation as far as the tumor we found under Mystery the rat's left arm. I'm bringing her little sister Wednesday with her to keep her company in the car ride and so she has someone to wait with while we wait to go into the exam room. (They hate to be seperated and both would be miserable if I brought Mystery alone).

We're hoping for the best no matter the outcome, and I thought I'd share some photos with you guys!

She quite likes to have photos taken of her so she gave me some really nice shots tonight.  :D

Hi! I'm Mystery the fantastical princess!

I'm going to pose nicely so as to show off my beauty!

See? Ah. I am utter perfection.

I'm going to explore Jase's bed and perhaps poop on it a few times.

Eek! A wombat! Competition for cuteness!

She's a chubby little thing!! Looks like you care for her very well!

How old is she?

My daughter had a rat who was two years old when she started developing tumors (the rat, not my daughter!).  Took her to the vet.... don't let them do surgery on Mystery.  I just hope it's a good outcome for you and her.

Squeakie (Mouse) tells me that Mystery-Rat is 3 years old, which is a grand age for a rat and it means that the lad has had her since he was 12. As I understand it older rats are very prone to tumours. We all hope that Mystery does well at the vet.

All of Squeak's beasties enjoy the very best of care. Morganto the Runt Mouse was treated to an extensive and expensive course of anti-biotics for complications arising from a mite infestation. And he's just a feeder mouse.

Squeak's concern and love for his pets covers him with honour.
