My wife have severe nightsweat for 30 days now
« on: August 19, 2013, 09:33:30 am »
Hi everybody

As some of u know already I am poz, and also have TB.
My wife have tested negative twice for HiV, but  the last month, she started to have severe Night sweat.

Since she have 2 test for hiv performed already, im thinking she should go and get a TB test.
What dó u guys think ? Or is all this just because of the Extreme stress I have given to her, because of my aids.

Kind regards

Peter

Will dó that. And Will come back with test results.

We go together to lab, and if negative then a visit to her normal doc.

No need for more hiv test, or ?

Peter, provided your wife's last hiv negative result was three months (or more) past the last time you two had unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, then she's conclusively hiv negative and would not need further hiv testing at this time.

TB is well-known for causing night-sweats. Get her checked out ASAP.

Thank you again dear Ann,

Only TB would be a potential issue, but due to the fact that I never had it in my lungs - I was told by doctors I wasn't contagious. I am never proven with TB, since they never get a poz result, but diagnosed and treated.

But will go to lab tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Peter

Why would you go to a lab to take some test before seeing a doctor?   Sounds backwards.   See a doctor first, get an exam, and have the doctor decide what tests need to be done.

Hi buginme2,

I agree, but the reason we didn't go to our "normal" doc,  is because he have been on vacation for 4 weeks, and will not return before next Monday.

So, instead of waiting further, I just called my HIV doc, and she made appointment at the lab.

We didn't want to go to a new doc, that don't know our situation.

Regards,
Peter

That makes sense.  I didn't realize you were in contact with your doctor and she ordered the test.  It sounded like you were doing it on your own.  I hope you find out what is causing her being ill and get it treated straight away. Good luck.

Hi everybody,

Just to make anupdate.
Today at hospital we was told she was TB negative, so now its a more "normal" situation, and we just continue with our familydoctor. Hopefully its nothing serious.

Hugs to you all

Hi everybody,

Today we received the final results about my sweet wife.
And they have tested for everything possible, and they cant find anything.

Actually our doc is thinking that its "just" stress related due to all that has been happening this year.....

So this topic can have closure now, and I have to tell my wife more often, that i love her, and Im so lucky and happy she choose to stay with me, and support me being poz..

Many people would have run away....

Have a nice day everybody :)

Hugs
Peter
