Hey there users and those that are trying to cope with HIV/AIDS. God bless all thoses that are still smiling in there lives today. I have a question to ask
Now on April 15, 2006 (just recently) I had sex with this girl that I didnt know. I've only seen her twice in my life and obviously I dont know her history. I did have protected sex with a condom but stupid me it was an expired condom, but while we were having sex, it did not break. The sex was probably around 15-20 mins and then we stopped. Even tho I wore a condom I was still afraid that I could catch HIV or STD.
Now I got tested on July 13, 2006. I got the test done 2 days early from the 15th of July which would of made it 3 months since my last exposure. The doctor got the results and he said that I was negative. My question is do you think Im alright then? Sorry if this sounds a little stupid it was just I did not get tested on July 15 but I got tested on the 13th. My guess is Im alright and I shouldnt have to worry about it. Please tell me what you think.

You are HIV negative. Continue to use condoms with plenty of water base lube and be safe.

Rob, the fact that the condom was outdated doesn't change the reliability of your test result. You have a solid negative result. You are HIV negative. Period. End of story.
If the condom had malfunctioned you would have known it. When they fall apart from age or whatever it's not a subtle event.
For future reference make sure you have fresh latex handy so that you don't have to worry unnecessarily like this again.
Keep using condoms everytime you have intercourse. You've got the right idea.
