Cliff, Rocky, Mark, Claude, Alan, Poz, Newt, Bill, and R.
You guys were right
I posted a thread in the general treatment forum about my viral load mysteriously jumping to 93,000 from undetectable.
Well, we redid the labs and it was a lab error. I am still undetectable. Guess what? Trish is too!!!
DOUBLE YAY!!
Just wanted to say thanks. I was a little freaked out
-
Hey John
That is great news! ;D
RAB
(Who curses these damn lab errors >:( )
-
John,
This is great and it didn't make too much sense anyway of going undetectable to 93,000. Now you can relax and your CD4 will jump over 200 if not already done.
Remember one thing John, by example 193 CD4 USD will worth 222 CD4 CAD while being in Montreal. :D
Regards,
The Canuck

Way to go John, I'm happy for you mate. Take it easy.

I'm happy for you both!

That's a big relief, John. Welcome to the world of LAB ERRORS. It happens.
Hugs,
Alan

:D
-
Very good news John!
But fuck that lab for putting you through that! >:(
Take care,
John
-
Thank god/goddess for that happy clarification, KC. And small wonder you were freaked out. Whew!!! Scareeeeee! That lab owes you an apology.
Great news that both you and Trish are undetectable now.
Cheers,
-
Good.
One survey at one major London hospital found that 50% of "blips"/odd viral load results for people who were undetectable were lab erros (either testing or reading)
P - Go Trish

John,
Great news that you and Trish are both undetectable! I read your orginal thread in the treatment forums and had my fingers crossed it was just a blip.

Yeah, I made them run geno and pheno tests to be sure, and obviously they came up blank. We also took labs again yesterday because truly I don't know if the CD4 count that they quoted me was right either.
Thanks again everyone...
-
John,
What was your CD4 count on the same blood work and previous one ?
The Canuck
-
no Claude, like idiots, they didn't do the CD4's again. Just the VL.....Crazy shit is that the hospital will have to eat the cost of the first labs.
-
Yeah sounds like complete idiots...no wonder you came up with such a result. :(
The can certainly eat the cost of the first lab.
The Canuck
-
They have eaten several. My insurance company requires that a specific lab be used, and when they send it to another, they don't pay. I think it has happened three times in the last year. About a $600 pop.
-
Hey John
That is GREAT news for you both! ;D :) :D
Keep it up (figuratively speaking, of course ::)
HUGS,
Mark

Jesus,
The lab just called me. I gotta go back and redo them. They screwed up the damn viles. When does it end?

And to think, he wanted me to go with him... ??? It's too damn early in the morning for me...no one wants to see me when I first wake up. :o Not a pretty sight!!! ::) :D ;) :-[

Glad to see you and Trish are doing so well. I hope this lab can start to fix there errors so you do not have to be put through this anymore.

Thank you alll!
Well, I am okay with re-taking tests so long s they get them right, but what REALLY pissed me off was that they made my ass wait when I got there.
Oh well, I feel like a million bucks today, so I aint gonna let it get me down!
-
I hope they get it right the second time...
