I just got medical insurance and would like to find a great HIV specialist in the L.A. area.  Preferably someone who works with a Cedars-Sinai medical group.  I have PPO insurance.

Thanks.
M.

I am with Kaiser, so that would not be of any use. I am very happy with what they have been doing for me. Hope your hunt goes well. Would your ppo allow you to go to Kaiser?

  • Cheers!
Hi there!  I sent you a PM with the information for the HIV Dr. I go to.  They should except your PPO. They are Cedars affilliated (I think) or at least for non-routine appts. they prefer you use Cedars.  They are off Olympic, pretty near West Hollywood (Miracle Mile area).  I really like this group (Synergy Hematology and Oncology, HIV Division).

Good luck!

Kaiser is really good. They have labs onsite and have been monitoring my health since I started HIV treatmen there. I know that they accept other forms of insurance there like ADAP.

My HIV doctor from '94-'99 was with Pacific Oaks Medical Group (Dr. Gary Cohen).  He was excellent.
