Seriously, I hope everyone is taking the potential of this storm seriously. I saw one Mayor today telling people on TV if they choose to stay and ride it out, there might not be someone immediately there to help them.
I guess we can blame this on Obama for it.

I just spoke to Miss P on the phone . Sadly , the storm has already began at his house and he was pronounced dead 4 hours ago . He assured me he will still be able to use his computer , blog and talk on the phone despite the tragic setback involving his untimely death . You cant keep a good man down or off line . Expect updates from the other side from Miss P very soon .

Miss P's power never goes out because she wisely selected an apartment on a boulevard with a subway underneath. A Burlington City resident had to be rescued after a tree fell and pinned his ankle against the steps of his home, but no fatalities were reported from the super storm.
According to preliminary reports, the hurricane hit the coast near Sea Isle City at close to 6 p.m. and then continued west through New Jersey at a faster-then expected pace.
As of 7 p.m., meteorologists at the National Weather Service station in Westampton said the heaviest rain and winds had moved to the west of the county, but they cautioned that wind gusts and showers would continue through Tuesday morning.

So very sad. If I was the home owner I would not be able to live with myself, man or woman or alien knocking on the door during this time. What always amazes me however is why people do not LISTEN to authorities or people in know and leave, get to safe grounds and leave it for the last minute to get out. But then again, whom I question that as I am clearly on this site for the same reason, not listening.

Thanks Mike ... I was so flabbergasted with mecch reaction I didn't know what to say but you and Jan summed it up nicely . I guess I could have started another thread but who would quibble with a gripe over that ... I guess we know . That mans attitude about the woman and children is enough for outrage no matter the rest of the story .
