Positively Aware, a publication of Chicago's Test Postive Aware Network, presents a 100-photo essay:

"No one will ever be free so long as there are pestilences."--Albert Camus, "The Plague"

"Mankind can never be free until the last brick in the last church falls on the head of the last priest."--Voltaire

Anyone see the CBS news tonight with the story about the people in Chicago who adopted all the kids with HIV?  It was such a great story it brought tears to your eyes. I hope they expand on it and do a 60 minutes segment.

Here is the report from CBS News.  These people look to be middle class--nice home, but nothing fancy.  I've always wondered how people afford to adopt.  I've heard each child can run around $20K at least.  Then, most places require you visit the country a few times with some requiring you to spend a certain amount of time there.  I'm sure plane tickets to Africa, China, Russia, etc aren't cheap.  I think more people would consider adoption, even kids with health issues, but many believe they could not afford it.  So, I always wonder how people of modest means do it.
