HI Guys,


I couldn't remember my old name so I don't want you to think i'm doing something wrong. I've been here  before and do remember what you taught me.. I'm not freaking out or anything like it just want to run it by both of you and i'm 99% sure I don't need to test.  I had a tooth inplant put in my mouth, the doctor went into the hole in my mouth and scraped away some tissue to screw in the inplant, then screwed it into my mouth. It did bleed a little but the inplant went in. The gum was a little sore also. That was about 1pm in afternoon. That night I had a date with a woman. Not expecting anything would happen but it did. I had intercourse and used a condom and it worked well so no worries. I went down on her which is why i'm writing. We had sex at 1am. so almost 12 hours. I recall that you(Andy) and Ann would say that no risk due to where those cells are are high up in a womans cavaty and no need to worry you can't get it that way. Just use condoms for intercorse and you will be ok.. Like I said i'm not worrying due to even if she did have it , you cant get it from going down on here even though with my senierio..  I am now newly divorced and dating. I go by your rules of everytime using condoms for any type of intercourse..  As long as i follow those rules ill be ok.  I believe they still stand ?

That's right. Use condoms everytime for intercourse and you will be well protected against the sexual transmission of HIV.

Your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which form a very effective barrier against the transmission of viable HIV. And as you recalled correctly, the vaginal fluids which can carry HIV are up in the cervical area, which is not anywhere near where you would have been giving oral to your partner.

I don't see any cause for concern nor any need for testing.

And keep the condoms handy for intercourse as you wend your way through the challenges of being a bachelor again.
