ERECTILE DISFUNCTION
« on: July 10, 2007, 03:15:28 pm »
Hello,

I have been having trouble keeping an erction.

I am currently on Truvada and Kaletra and they are working well, although Junior is not.

I have a doctors appointment today for bloodwork and will bring it up (no pun intended) to my doctor to see what can be done.

Has anyone experienced this?  Were you prescribd anything and did it work?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hiya,

The same happens here to "junior" ;-), not too often, but more than it was before...

I am also on truvada, but plus atazanavir and norvir

I am not too worried, maybe just stress... prefer not to worry a lot about it.

But, maybe it is a good idea to talk about it to my doc and check if everything is ok down there.

hugs!

love is blindness...  a wonderful song!

Alberche,

I'm on truvada and kaletra as well, and I've also had the same problem when I was starting the medication.  But now, I dont seem to have a problem.  I've been on truvada/kaletra for almost 3 months now.  I think its just stress.

So I Saw my Doctor yesterday and thought I was late for the appointment, but I was actually early!  By a whole week, he saw me anyway!

He prescribed Viagra, I just hope it works, but I also think it can be stress.  But the new guy is so wanting to have sex, i am doing it for him.  He has put up with so much bullshit with me that I deserve to make him happy, I told him I got it and he said to try it alone because he cannot be attentive for 4 hours, I laughed and told my back will probably give out in an hour and we both laughed!

So we have a date tonight, lets see what happnes!

I wil keep you all posted!

Be good !

Hello,

Many different factors can contribute to Erectile dysfunction. I wonder if your doctor , bothered to check into some of these, before prescribing Viagra. Seems a little premature( no pun intended,) to just prescribe this stuff. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I would look into other underlying causes first. Hopefully your doctor did this.

By the way, there have been several times throughout these past 5 years that I have had these issues, somehow though , things have always gotten better, without the use of Viagra.

Take care/good luck----Ray

Hi Ray,

My doctor was quite informative of the other causes, he did do the testosterone level check and will have the results next week.  It may also be stress.

I did try the V and took only 25mg as directed by my doctor and it worked great last night and then morning I was ready to go again, but just took care of him before I left for home.  It is just that I have unloaded alot on this guy since we first met, including my status, and  that I really wanted to please him and I had told him that he was not the problem of not staying hard, he told me he knew that, but just wanted to take that extra step for him and for us.

I am hoping once my stress level is down (currently living with my ex until the condo sells then I am on my way to a new and better place in my life.

I am thinking this is just a temporary fix for my problem.

Thanks for the info and keep thinking good thoughts!

Peter!

PJC0510, if you find that you have low testosterone go with the gel verses the injections every two weeks. It's just a pain in the ass going every two weeks for the injections (pardon the pun). I was on injections and it took 2 months for it to work and after six months I switched to the Testim 1% 50mg gel applied everyday. It works, but give it time. You can use Viagra until you know longer need it when your testosterone levels increase. It's like being a kid all over again, waking up being saluted by a woody in the mornings.  :D
