Title: Years of stress...
Post by: anneclaireee on August 20, 2011, 04:30:22 pm
Hello all, im a female in my mid twenties who made some drunken mistakes in the summer of 2009. In September 2010 I went to the health dept and told them to test me for everything. Everything including HIV was negative. Now, its two years later after those mistakes and im still scared. My husband was recently tested for work and was negative. I went to the doctor last month and my white blood count was slightly elevated even though i felt fine! I have been too scared to go back...I dont know what to do...every little bump or sneeze i feel like it might be hiv. Im even too scared to have a child with my husband because i know they test you...i mean i was tested negative over a year later so i should be fine right?

You are worrying needlessly. You have reliably tested negative for HIV.

Hopefully your husband will as well and then you will both have reliable test results.

There is no need for further concern on your part nor any need for further testing.

Take a breath and get on with your life.
