Hello everyone,

I need some help and advice on what to do. 3 days ago I meet with a transexual escort. When I got to her place she performed oral sex on me without a condom for about 10 seconds. I went to the shower, when I got back she licked my anus just once and then I performed oral on her With a condom on. Then I replaced the condom for a new one and we performed anal sex, I was the receptive partner. It was my first time so I had an orgasm quite fast and we stopped, she did not ejaculate inside the condom. After the sex I went to the bathroom and checked the condom and it was intact (even filled it up with water to see it). However, once I got home like around an hr later I felt some pain and I went to the bathroom and the toilet paper came out with some blood in it. We did not use much lube and The bleeding stopped later on during the day and the pain is now gone.

What are my chances? I am very worried since time for PEP is gone. Can you guys advice me on what to do? I am freaking out. :(

Hi

In short you got a BJ without a condom, than gave a BJ with a condom and had anal intercourse with a condom.

Look nothing you mentioned stood out as a HIV transmission risk. HIV can not transmit through an intact condom - fact end of story. Licking you anus "rimming/angulingus" is also not a HIV risk.

As for receiving a BJ there hasn’t been a single documented case of HIV transmission to an insertive partner (the person being "sucked") and you will not be the first. Its simple getting your penis sucked is not a HIV risk, saliva is not HIV infectious, it also contains over a dozen elements that neutralize HIV.

The pain and bleeding afterwards, well that to be expected, does not change the fact your partner used a condom that did not break. Use lubricate as well next time, a condom safe lubricant ill add.

After the sex I went to the bathroom and checked the condom and it was intact (even filled it up with water to see it).

If you test the condom before you use it this can weaken the condom, making it more likely to break during use. So don't and, also never test a condom after you use it. Instead, immediately dispose of the condom in the bin.

Testing the condom after intercourse could damage the condom, as its not designed as a reusable product and this could lead you to mistakenly think that the condom was damaged during sex, when in fact you actually caused the damage after the intercourse by trying to "test" it with water. In short, testing the condom yourself before or after use is not a reliable way to tell you anything.

Testing condoms yourself is basically a "housewife myth"

To sum it up
Move on with your life, nothing you mentioned stood out as a risk, no need to worry, test or panic over this incident. Continue to use condoms and simply test as normal at least yearly for STI's and HIV.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

Hello guys, thanks in advance for all the help that all of you provide.

Few months ago I had protected anal sex with a transexual (I was the receptive partner). We also had brief oral sex: I was the insertive (no condom), and receptive (with condom). She also rimmed me for a brief period of time.

I posted here before and got a reply very fast that my situation was not a risk. I did not test after this event. However I have been thinking to go get tested to rule out other possible std's (I was an insertive partner for oral recently without a condom with a girl). The thing is that I kept in touch with the transexual and I mentioned that I was going to get tested soon and asked her if she has been tested recently and she disappeared and did not reply any of my messages, therefore I am freaking out now.

I am going tomorrow to get tested and would like to know: what kind of test should I look for? Finger prick, blood taken from the vein? I got really worried with her reaction. I was not rude or anything and we kept in touch, I just asked her a question and she disappeared. I live in Los Angeles, the encounter was on December 23, 2016 and I did not have any other unprotected sex encounter besides the insertive oral 6 weeks ago.

I need advice on what type of test should I look for.    :( Thank you everyone

Look if its just the December incident than nothing you mentioned was a HIV risk and that she is not answering you means nothing as her status is not important, you own actions are. People are not risk your own behaviour is either a risk or not.

Yes, there are also STI's that are far easier to transmit however you do not need to run out and test each time.

As for what well when you do test any good clinic or doctor will talk to you first and evaluate your testing needs. Pretty common would be to test/check for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Herpes, Genital Warts and HIV.

Any approved HIV antibody test would give you a conclusive negative result 3 months post any exposure.

Thank you Jim,

I appreciate that. I will go to a family clinic right next to my house where I can get a full panel of std tests since it has been too long since I did my last one. Thanks guys
