very worry about my situation
« on: June 16, 2013, 10:09:33 am »
Hi,
So great I finally found this forum somewhere in google. I was so worried about my current situation.

Here is my case.

I had a unprotected oral sex with a sex worker(female) and I have protected vagina sex at the same time. Understand from this forum the oral sex shouldn't be an issue.

However, on the 5th day after the incident, my wife was fever continuously for 4days and she got antibiotic from the doctor because of the virus infection (she did normal dengue bloodtest which show negative). And she get well on 9th day from my incident.

Today, I find an ousser in my mouth, which really freak me out.

I can't persuade myself that I have not infected because I had unprotected vagina sex last 2 years and the blood was then tested by Singapore government due to employment pass renewal on Nov 2012. I don't really know what kind of test they are doing that time, and I'm not sure whether the report is accurate or not, my HIV status was negative last Nov2012.

I should not do this anymore I hope I can have a chance to live. I'm not ready to tell my wife yet.

I'll wait for your kind reply...

ddvega , you didn't have a risk for HIV in the situation you are concerned with . Oral sex is not a risk so if that is your only concern then you can count your test as conclusive that you do not have HIV .

There have been no fewer than three separate serodiscordant couples studies (where one person is HIV positive, the other negative.) These couples were tracked for three. five and ten years. The couples used condoms for penetrative vaginal and anal sex, but NO BARRIER at all for oral sex. Any kind of oral sex.

These studies yielded NO infections.

As long as you are using condoms correctly and consistently you will avoid HIV exposure , Its really that simple .

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your quick reply, really, I do appreciate that. The reason why I'm so worry is that I don't really know the blood test I did last year was accurate or not. And I feel like getting fever soon, I never had any fever since last year, my temperature is 36.5c now and feel like increasing.

I 100% trust the truth of oral sex is not an issue for hiv infection. Just that I'm so nervous and worried now because of my wife's recent virus infection.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys did for everyone here. A big thank you to you all.

dd,

Provided your test was three months or more following the last time you had unprotected sex with someone other than your wife, then you are conclusively hiv negative.

The you had NO RISK in the incident you wrote about in your first post. You do NOT need to test over a NO RISK situation.
